Tray zur Aufnahme einer Hehrzahl, vorzugsweise quaderförmiger, PackungenTray for holding a large number of, preferably cuboid-shaped, packs
The invention relates to a tray for receiving a plurality of, preferably cuboid-shaped, packages.
It is known to combine a number of cuboid-shaped packages into containers using trays for transport and storage purposes. In the simplest case, this is done using a glued folding box that is open at the top, as is generally known for holding twelve beverage packages, for example.
Due to the need to avoid (unnecessary) outer packaging as much as possible, attempts have already been made to replace the well-known and previously mentioned tray with a new type of tray that uses less material. For example, it is known from the registered documents of the German utility model 80 686 that a number of packages can be arranged on a base with lateral, raised edges that are connected to one another in the corner area. The individual packages are connected to one another by means of a first banderol and a second banderol ensures the connection between the base and the packaging unit.
On the one hand, the base requires side, raised edge parts that are connected to one another in the corner edge area, which either have to be glued to a rectangular base sheet or - as with the known tray described at the beginning - are made as a folding cardboard base. On the other hand, it is not possible to secure all packages with the band running around the sides if they are arranged in a matrix with at least one middle row. To do this, it is necessary to either use additional bands running around the vertical plane or to use bands that are mirror-symmetrical to the
A further base, which forms a sort of "lid", must be provided on the top of the individual packs. These two bases must then be secured with a banderole running around at least one vertical level. In addition, the raised edges lead to an oversize of the known trays and a corresponding transport volume. Furthermore, neighboring packs of trays stacked next to each other bulge in the air gap created by the edges and lead to instability of the stack and deformation of individual packs.
The invention is therefore based on the task of developing and further developing the tray mentioned at the beginning in such a way that a safe packaging unit is created with low manufacturing and material costs, which meets all requirements with regard to storage and transport. In addition, it is desirable that the individual packages can be easily removed from the tray by the end user.
The problem is solved by the packs being attached to a base sheet corresponding to the total area of the individual standing areas of the packs and the individual packs being held together by a band running around the side. According to the invention, the packs themselves become part of the tray. Because the pack bases of the packs standing close together are attached to the base sheet, it is no longer possible for the individual packs to move against each other. The band running around the side also prevents one or more packs from "opening up".
In a further embodiment of the invention, the base sheet can be made of cardboard or paper, or even corrugated cardboard, depending on the size and weight of the individual packages to be accommodated. In some cases it may be desirable for the base sheet to be moisture-resistant and protected from softening; for this purpose, in a further embodiment of the invention, the base sheet can be made of film stretched (preferably in two directions).
However, it is also possible to coat the base sheet on one or two sides. Hotmelt and/or PE and/or paraffin can be used as the coating. One-sided coating with hotmelt is preferred, which makes it particularly easy to seal the packs by heating the underside of the base sheet at specific points. The specific sealing allows the end user to remove the individual packs relatively easily.
According to a further teaching of the invention, it is also possible for the individual packages to be glued to the base sheet. It has been shown that - depending on the size of the individual packages - a few drops of glue per package are sufficient. For smaller or lighter packages, a single glue dot may be sufficient for each package. The type of glue should be chosen so that any glue residues do not remain on the removed package but only on the base sheet, so as not to impair the appearance of the packages.
A further embodiment of the invention provides that the underside of the base sheet has an anti-slip coating. Such anti-slip coatings are known per se. In this way, the trays are reliably prevented from slipping among each other and a large number of trays can be safely arranged on transport pallets.
The surrounding band can be made of paper, preferably crepe paper but also of crepe adhesive tape, rubber band or shrink film tape. In any case, it is advisable for the band to have a certain amount of internal tension. The use of crepe paper as a band material has proven particularly effective here. It is also possible to use a band made of wet paper, which creates the necessary internal tension when it dries.
In der Zeichnung zeigenThe invention is explained in more detail below using a drawing which merely represents an exemplary embodiment. The drawing shows

Fig. 2 shows the basic structure of the tray according to the invention in a perspective view from above.
In Fig. 1, the tray according to the invention is shown in its entirety. A plurality of cuboid-shaped packages 2 are arranged on a base sheet 1, in the illustrated and thus preferred embodiment twelve, and are connected to one another by means of a banderol 3 that runs laterally around the individual packages 2.
From Fig. 2 it can be seen that the individual packages 2 are attached to the base sheet 1. This can preferably be done by means of adhesive dots 4 arranged at the corners of the package. It is easy to see that even after the removal of the banderole shown in dashed lines, a certain amount of residual hold is still present thanks to the packages 2 attached to the base sheet 1. In this way, the requirements regarding the removal of the individual packages in retail are adequately taken into account.
