Dies wird gemäß der Erfindung dadurch erreicht, daß die Aufbereitung der zu brikettierenden Kohle nach der in der deutschen Patentanmeldung B 18270 VI b/ i c beschriebenen Schaumschwimmverfahren erfolgt, gemäß welchem die zu fiotierende Rohfeinkohle mit den Flotationsmitteln gemischt und die Mischung einer Zwangsbehandlung durch Kneten, Pressen durch enge Querschnitte wie Düsen, Schlitzeau. dgl., in deren Verlauf sie Druckunterschieden gegenüber dem Außendruck unterworfen und hierauf unter Belüftung getrennt wird, unterzogen wird. Dieses Verfahren ermöglicht es nämlich, als Schwimmittel nicht nur die bei den üblichen Flotationsverfahren verwendeten vergleichsweise teuren Reagenzien zu benutzen, sondern praktisch beliebige minderwertige bituminöse Stoffe, wie hochsiedende Kohlenwasserstoffe mit hohem Stockpunkt, Bunkeröle und sogar Teere, Peche, Destillationsrückstände u. dgl.
