Eine Seite wird üblicherweise durch eine feststehende Glasscheibe oder Glaswand gebildet, während die andere Seite eine zu öffnende Tür umfaßt. Diese Tür kann als Schiebetür oder als schwenkbare Tür ausgestaltet sein. Da die feststehende Glasscheibe an ihrem hinteren Randbereich an der Wand des Raumes verankert ist und mit ihrem unteren Randbereich mit der Duschtasse verbunden ist, ergibt sich, daß die vordere, der Tür zugewandte Kante und die obere Kante der Glasscheibe bei geöffneter Tür frei liegen. Hierdurch besteht die Gefahr, daß die Glasscheibe instabil wird und sich von ihrer Verankerung löst oder beschädigt werden kann. Zu diesem Zwecke ist es aus dem Stand der Technik bekannt, den oberen Randbereich der Glasscheibe zusätzlich abzustützen. Dies erfolgt mittels eines sich quer erstreckenden Jochs, welches in Form einer runden Stange ausgebildet ist. Das freie Ende dieser Stange umfaßt einen Schlitz, welcher von oben auf die Glasscheibe aufgesteckt wird, während das andere Ende der Stange in geeigneter Weise an der Wand des Raumes zu befestigen ist.
