In Schlafzimmern, Schreibstuben und anderen Räumen, welche aufser der allgemeinen Beleuchtung noch eine besondere für das Bett, den Schreibtisch u. s. w. erhalten, aber stets nur eine von beiden Lichtquellen zur Verfügung haben sollen, ist bisher ein Umschalter, meistens neben der Eingangsthür, zum Anstellen der einen oder anderen Beleuchtung und ein Hahn oder Anschlufsstöpsel zum Abstellen der besonderen Beleuchtung angebracht worden.
