Optical arrangement for aligned and subsequent assembly
of standards
Very long precision standards are often required in technology, their
Manufacturing encounters considerable difficulties; especially when glass as
Material must be used. One could also think of adding shorter scales to one another.
But this path is very difficult and has many shortcomings.
These difficulties are addressed by the present invention
avoided shorter, parallel scales that are perpendicular to the direction of the scale
are offset from one another, shown excerpts by optical means
that are in the field of view of observation optics or on a projection screen
gives the image of a single, continuously running scale. The optically
scales that are to be aligned are aligned parallel to one another
and their ends placed together, as in Fig. I for two adjacent scales
M1 and M2 is shown. The scales can be in the direction of the scale as well
perpendicular to it separated from each other by a more or less large distance
be. The two adjacent gauges M1 and M2 are in the front focal plane
each of a lens O or 02, the focal length f of which is the same. One lens
Os is the focal length fs, the diameter of which is such that the two lenses
0, and 02 find their place fully within its effective opening, then forms the
both scales on the same point of a projection screen or
of the field of view of an observation optics on the same scale fs / f. Regarding
of the optical axes of the objectives 0 or 02 are the same
respectively.
Positions of the scales M1 and M2 are mapped to the same position. Be like that
in Fig. I the last scale line S1 of scale M, on the screen W at the same
Place and in the same size as S, 'or 52' shown congruently, as
the scale line S2 of the scale M2. To the image of a single continuous
To get running scale, one has so in the arrangement described above
to arrange the scales to be joined in such a way that the distance between the
last graduation of the first scale from the first graduation of the further scale
corresponds exactly to the distance between the optical axes of objectives 0 and 02. Appropriately
the axes of the objectives O ,, 0 2 and Os are placed in a plane, whereby the distance
of the axes of the objectives O, and 02 of the axis of the objective 0, selects the same size.
The illumination of the two scales can, as shown in Fig. 2, by one
Lamp L and a condenser C take place. In Fig. 2 are exactly as in Fig
Scales M1 and M2 through the lenses 01,02 and ö on the screen W as M, '
and M2, partially shown. One can also proceed according to FIG. 3.
bleibt derselbe wie in Fig. 2.The lamp is in Fig. 3 in the front focus of a condenser lens
CL. Inside and close to the effective opening of the condenser CL are two
smaller condensers C attached, expediently so that their optical
Axes are the same distance from the axis of the condenser CL-. The rest of the structure
remains the same as in Fig. 2.
A second embodiment for the flush joining of
Scales is shown in FIG. 4. The two scales M1 and M2 are used here
With the help of the partially transparent mirror RH or with the help of the partially transparent hypotenuse
RH of a cube prism through the objective O, section-wise on the same point
of the screen W shown with the same magnification. Through the inserted mirrors
R1, R2 and R3 ensure that the two paths from the scales to the
Objective Os are equal to each other. Instead of the partial mirror
RH also use a full mirror that can be folded away when using one of the rulers,
should be switched on when using the other scale.
Of course, any number of scales can be used under
Use of the optical arrangement described above optically lined up
will. This would have to be done according to Fig. 5, soft the arrangement for the lining up
of, for example, five scales, M,, M2, Ms, M4 and M5.
