Description

Process for cleaning etched electrodes, in particular for Use in electrolytic capacitors' It is known for cleaning etched electrodes, especially for use in electrolytic capacitors, the electrodes preferably using at least one diaphragm.as the effect an electric direct current nuszusetzeri ,, d. H. the phenomenon of electroasmosis to remove the etching products, preferably the chlorine ions. With this one Vertalhren: can the case occur; that cleaning the etched electrodes does not is carried out up to the desired degree @, but remains imperfect to the extent that than in the pores of the electric electrodes, Sdhl: amm @ residue: remains. This stems from it her that z. B. hydrolyze the aluminum cations in the cathode space and, unite, desired gelatinous precipitate "which partly remains in the pores and .d partly accumulates on the bath surface in the vicinity of the electrodes and when the electrodes are taken out, they are taken along. and later nm Drying tower to -Tonerdehy @ draten with different water content dries up. Around to avoid this disadvantage, and. To achieve cleaning of the electrodes, is proposed according to the invention, except for the known electroosmotic cleaning to eliminate the corrosive anions a further elecbroosimotnscheRe, in! vorz, unehimen to remove the polluting cations.

The osmotic cleaning to remove the polluting cations can be carried out in such a way that following the Elelctroo: smose to remove the corrosive anions, in which the electrodes to be cleaned are at the negative voltage pal, these electrodes by a z. B. led bath filled with distilled water apply, with the latter: on the negative and the Electrodes are on the positive voltage pole. There- through is the in the pores of the etched elec- troden existing sludge dissolved out so that in the .later formation .also .the etched Electrodes securely in their pores with a fornie rungsschidht be covered. This has been not always in a satisfactory way. GOAL. Rather: covered the contaminating standieide the Elekbroidenfläche in the pores from, so @ that such a contaminated electrode at the formation under certain circumstances disturbances Hochvolbbad - at higher, temperatures cause gently, whereby the well-known tilting phenomena - Bringing together the FoxmieTungs, s: tension) occurred: who @ drax @ are due to that by E.bgassing and solution processes so far @dwrch Mud-covered areas that lm the low-volatility bath still: not on; took part in the formation, were suddenly exposed. This is made possible by the Procedure according to the invention as a result of removal of the sludge, avoided from the pores. Therefore the method according to the invention brings the Vox- part with itself that a uniform formation the etched. Electrodes is achieved: The elec- Trolyte capacitors have a uni% higher Capacity and a 2 to 8% lower consumption LustwsukeL in comparison with simply osmotic cleaned foils containing electrolytic conden- satars. If you put: what is very poorly conducting Distilled water, for example, is still weak forming acids, e.g. B. citric acid, wine. acid or 4crl., a pre-foaming can take place at the same time as the electroosmotic cation elimination.
