Description
In patent g25 355 an electron tube amplifier is described, in which the amplifier tube is provided with a self-exciting circuit, with With the help of which in the tube there is a constant natural oscillation of higher frequency than that of the to be amplified input voltage is generated, and at which the grid bias, the anode voltage, the feedback and the attenuation are set such that a change in the voltage to be amplified changes the mean anode current more strongly, than is the case without the self-excited natural oscillation.
The invention relates to the use of a circuit according to the main patent and operated amplifier tubes as bidirectional amplifiers in two-wire lines in such a way that the amplifier tube as a two-pole connection to a third winding of a is connected to the transformer switched on in the cable run.
An embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing. In this, io means a two-wire line leading from a point A to a point B , in which a transformer with the two windings 1i, 12 is switched on. The transformer has a third winding 13 to which the amplifier tube described in the main patent and only shown schematically in the drawing is connected as a two-pole. The signal currents sent from A to B or in the opposite direction, which eireichen the transformer 1i, 12, induce a voltage in the third transformer winding 13 , which is fed to the anode circuit of the amplifier tube 13 instead of the grid circuit as described in the main patent. As tests have shown, a gain now also occurs with this circuit that is greater than that achieved without the self-excited natural oscillation of the tube shown in the drawing in a two-pole circuit, regardless of whether the signals are from A to B or in can be transmitted in the opposite direction.
