Description

Filters for household vacuum cleaners Dust trap filter for household vacuum cleaners have so far mostly been made from a textile fabric. The permeability to dust such filter materials depends essentially on the fineness of the fabric, i. H. so the number of threads per unit area. In addition, the roughness of the thread surface also @ plays an important role. In order to increase the dust separation capacity of the filter the fabric is therefore roughened on one or both sides. Through the roughening of the fabric is achieved that the perpendicular to the plane of the fabric, between the weft and warp threads existing air channels with a thicket of fine fibers are coated, through which the fine dust particles are caught will. The consequence of this is that the air ducts in the tissue do not move clog and keep their air permeability. However, such fabric filters have on the other hand, the unpleasant property that it is difficult to clean, that on the roughened surface the separated and with it to a certain extent. matted dust adheres extremely tightly. On the other hand, it has been suggested to separate the dust that occurs in the household, usually from a Mixture of fiber and powder dust consists of using filters that are fleece-like are formed and z. B. can also be made of paper. Keep such filters good air permeability during use; the one on their surface deposited dust also forms a layer here, which is passed through the air passage cannula of the tissue deeply penetrating Fibers so tightly connected to the fleece is that it is only relatively difficult to detach and therefore in the usual way Way to be knocked off soot.

Fermer also has the filters for household vacuum cleaners as pressed items made of paper or wood wool or cotton wool: these act as an impact filter and develop a good air seal.

Such filters, as well as sponge filters, have the disadvantage, however, that they require special carriers to hold the loose filter mass together. The invention relates to a filter in which these disadvantages of the previously known filter are eliminated.

According to the invention, the filter for household vacuum cleaners consists of a fiber fleece treated with a latex-like emulsion. In particular fiber fleeces made of cotton or sulphate pulp, which are coated with a Laüexemu @ lsüon treated naturally or artificially. In particular, emulsions can be used based on polyacrylonitrile can be used. It is also advantageous to use anti-aging agents to add. Such a nonwoven fabric has the property that it has pores that communicate with each other through fine channels. Such a filter is therefore On the one hand, it is well air-permeable, on the other hand, none can even be used for long periods of time Clogging of the filter can occur because of the fine, mostly fibrous dust particles cannot penetrate deep into the filter because the channels connecting the pores for the most part not perpendicular to the surface of the filter material. For this The layer of dust that is applied by the dust air stream can also be used as a basis Side of the filter settles, shake off with relatively little effort. Appropriately, therefore, the fiber fleece is smoothed on one side, which z. B. by a rolling process or by flattening can take place.
