vorhandene Preßluftdruck zumeist nicht aus, diesen Stopfen durch den Hahn hindurchzudrücken;
The invention relates to an air lift pump for conveying
aqueous suspensions consisting of a liquid and a fine-grained solid
exist, in particular of suspensions that occur during swimming and sinking separation
used by minerals. Such air lift pumps consist in the preparation
often from a U-shaped tube, in one leg of which the compressed air is below
for lifting the liquid is introduced and taking the liquid through this tube
flows towards the other thigh. Up to now, cone valves were used to shut off the compressed air
used. If the compressed air is accidentally exposed, the suspension penetrates a great deal
often up to above the cone valve, and it forms when the weighting substances settle out
solid stopper above the tap. When the system is restarted, the
Existing compressed air pressure is usually not enough to push this stopper through the tap;
In such cases the tap must first be removed and cleaned before the system can be opened
can be put back into operation.
This disadvantage is avoided according to the invention in that the
The air supply pipe opens vertically or inclined steeply downwards into the lifting pipe,
that the air supply pipe has an extension and that in this extension
an upwardly tapering hollow valve cone is arranged, which is axially free
is movably guided and in its upper position against a sealing surface in the
Housing and rests in its lower position against a stop.
Die Preßluftleitung i mündet steil
Dichtungsfläche i z des Gehäuses an.
In the drawing, an embodiment of the invention is shown,
namely Fig. i shows the arrangement of the check valve in the compressed air line,
Fig. 2 a section along the line A-B, Fig. 3 a longitudinal section through the check valve,
Fig. 4 a guide ring for the valve cone. The compressed air line i opens steeply
downwardly inclined into the lifting tube 2. The tube i is expediently just before the confluence
forked so that two opposing junctions arise, as shown in Fig.
2 can be seen. Above the fork there is a check valve in the pipe i
built-in. The check valve consists of the two-part valve housing 3, in
which a valve 4 is arranged. The valve cone is designed as a hollow cone
and guided in the guide rings 7 and 8 by means of the guide pins 5 and 6. Of the
upper part of the valve housing is fastened to a nipple io by a union nut,
which is screwed onto the pipe i. The lower part of the housing is immediate
screwed to the pipeline. The valve housing has a larger diameter
than the compressed air line. In its upper position, the valve cone rests on one
Sealing surface i z of the housing. The lower guide ring 8 is by means of the screws
12 fixed in the housing, while the upper guide ring 7 between the nipple io
and the upper edge of the housing is held.
i einen Stopfen 14 bildet.
The valve is open during operation. The lower edge of the valve stem 13 rests on the ring 8. The compressed air can enter the lifting line 2 unhindered. If the system is shut down or if the compressed air supply fails, the sludge in the lifting tube 2 penetrates into the pipeline i at a relatively high speed. and into the valve housing and tries to equalize the pressure in the pipes. The liquid flow entering the housing reaches the cavity of the valve cone, which is pressed upwards against the sealing surface ii by the liquid pressure. In this way the pulp cannot penetrate any further into the pipe. After a short time, the turbidity below the cone clears, with the sinking solid forming a plug 14 in the lower part of the tube i. This stopper now absorbs the turbidity pressure that is still present in the lifting tube: 2. The valve cone now falls down as a result of gravity. When the compressed air is reinserted, the plug 14 is pushed out by the air pressure in conjunction with the liquid located above the plug, whereby the system is again in the operating state.
