Diese Fußhallstiefel waren daher ziemlich kräftig ausgeführt und besaßen ein entsprechend hohes Gewicht. In den letzten Jahren hat sich nun aber immer mehr die Ansicht durchgesetzt, .d@aß das Fußballspiel ein Laufsport ist, bei !dem es wesentlich auf Schnelligkeit ankommt. Deshalb geht das Bestreben jetzt dahin, die Fußballstiefel möglichst leicht auszuführen. Die heute gebräuchlichen Fußballstiefel ähneln daher Halbschuhen. Ihr Sc iaift endet unterhalb des Knöchels, um dem Spieler im Fußgelenk 'das höchstmögliche Maß an Bewegungsfreiheit zu geben. -Die vorstehend geschilderte Entwicklung ist im Prinzip richtig, denn es kommt tatsächlich darauf an, dem Fußballspieler einen Stiefel zur Verfügung zu stellen, der ihm die Erzielung großer Schnelligkeit dadurch ermöglicht, daß er ein geringes Gewicft hat und die F:ußbewegungen möglichst wenig hemmt. Anderseits ergibt sich aber Üabei,der Nachteil, daß der Fuß des Spielers in der Knöchelpartie durch den Stiefel keinen : Halt erfährt.
