Description
Prof. Werner Granzeier JorkProf. Werner Granzeier Jork
The invention relates to a fuselage for an aircraft made of laminated plastic, which is designed with window openings, inner support parts, ring-shaped closed frames and optionally with interior trim parts.
In aircraft construction, it has been common practice to manufacture the fuselage from an outer sheet, the so-called primary structure, and to reinforce this on the inside with surrounding frames. This construction method is independent of whether the primary structure is made of aluminum sheet or whether a plastic body is used as the primary structure. The individual frames have distances that are essentially predetermined for reasons of strength. As a result of these usually relatively small distances in the longitudinal direction, the windows of such aircraft bodies only extend slightly in the longitudinal direction of the aircraft, since they are limited on both sides by neighboring frames.
The invention is based on the object of designing an aircraft body made of plastic in such a way that relatively long windows extending in the longitudinal direction of the fuselage are possible.

This is achieved by the features specified in the characterising part of the claim.
In the fuselage of the aircraft according to the invention, the windows can have longitudinal dimensions that are essentially determined by aesthetic or ergonomic considerations. Behind the relatively long windows, the frames run as closed rings so that the fuselage of the aircraft retains the necessary strength. From the outside, this course of the frames behind the plastic panes is not visible or disturbing, especially if the plastic panes are coated. From the inside, the frames can be incorporated into the interior paneling in such a way that there is no aesthetic impairment of the overall impression.
In the preferred embodiment of the fuselage according to the invention, the fuselage is manufactured in one piece, including the internally arranged frames, with the openings for the windows remaining free during the lamination process. In a later work process, a plastic disc is fitted into the opening in the fuselage so that the plastic disc and the fuselage have a common spatial surface on the outside. In this way, disruptions to the flow pattern on the outer skin of the fuselage can be prevented, which means that fewer losses due to vortex formation during flight can be achieved.
The invention is explained below by way of example with reference to the drawing.
Fig. 1 shows an interior view of the window area of a fuselage according to the invention.
Fig.2 shows a horizontal sectional view through a window opening in a fuselage according to the invention.
In the figures, 10 designates the fuselage of an aircraft, which has been produced by a known lamination process. 12 designates a window opening, which extends over a considerable length in the longitudinal direction of the fuselage. In Fig. 1, two ring-shaped frames 11 and 13 can be seen, which are spaced apart by less than one meter and extend over the entire inner circumference of the fuselage, including the window opening 12.
The conditions can be seen in a sectional view in Fig. 2. It can be seen in particular that the window pane 14, which is located in the opening 11, corresponds to the outer surface of the fuselage 10. The arrangement of the frames 11 and 12 can be seen at a distance behind the plastic pane 14. It is conceivable to provide the area between the frames with lining materials and to close it off on the inside with an inner lining. However, this is not essential in the context of the present invention. It is important that the designer of an aircraft can choose the length of a window opening almost arbitrarily, since frames run around behind the window opening, which give the aircraft the necessary strength.
