Cabinet trolley

The invention relates to a cupboard trolley, in particular for transporting laundry for hospitals and the like, with a chassis and a box-shaped structure.

Hospitals are increasingly moving away from washing or cleaning laundry in the hospital, but rather having this done by external companies. It has proven to be inappropriate and hygienically questionable if the laundry is delivered loose and collected after use. Instead, cupboard trolleys are used, which are filled by the laundry company for each station according to the order of the individual stations. The cupboard trolleys are then delivered to the hospital by truck, where they are distributed to the individual stations. After the clean laundry has been removed, the dirty laundry is put into the cupboard trolleys and these are returned to the laundry company. The cupboard trolleys are equipped with appropriate wheels for transport within the laundry company and for transport from the hospital's loading ramp to the individual stations. Normally, no special requirements are placed on the chassis other than good rolling ability.

However, for special applications, e.g. for automatic transport systems, there are now special requirements for the chassis. For example, a transport system is known in which an automatic, self-propelled vehicle drives under the cabinet trolley, lifts it so that its wheels are no longer in contact with the ground, and then drives it from the ramp where the cabinet trolley was delivered to the station and back. For this purpose, the chassis must have a certain minimum height, which in turn is not required in laundry companies, where a corresponding automatic conveyor system is not provided. Since the automatic conveyor system only allows a limited height for the cabinet trolleys, the volume of the truck is not used when transporting the cabinet trolleys. Two cabinet trolleys cannot be placed on top of each other due to the size of the chassis. In addition, it would be disadvantageous if the upper layer of cabinet trolleys could roll on the lower layer.

However, there are not only different requirements for the chassis in the laundry and the hospital with the automatic conveyor system. There are also different automatic conveyor systems, which in turn require different chassis.

In order to meet all these requirements, a large number of cupboard trucks would have to be kept in stock and the transport space of the trucks could not be used economically, which leads to undesirably high costs overall.

The object of the invention is to create a cabinet trolley of the type mentioned at the beginning, which can be used in a variety of ways without great financial expenditure and can economically utilize the transport volume of trucks.

The solution according to the invention consists in that the structure is designed as a unit that can be detached from the chassis and can be inserted into the chassis from above, that the structure is

underside is provided with fixing projections and/or recesses or recesses, and that complementary fixing recesses or recesses and/or projections are provided on the upper side of the chassis and the body.

The body and chassis are therefore not rigidly connected to one another. The body can be lifted using simple lifting devices and inserted into the chassis from above. The body is secured against lateral displacement in the chassis by the fixing projections, recesses and recesses. The same cabinet trolley can therefore be combined with different chassis. For example, a chassis with a particularly low clearance height can be used in the laundry. In the hospital, on the other hand, a chassis with different requirements can be used, such as those imposed by the transport system in the hospital. The same body can also be delivered to different hospitals with different conveyor systems and chassis.

In addition, several, usually two, superstructures can be stacked on top of each other for transport in a truck in order to make use of the height of the loading space. The upper superstructure can be placed on the lower superstructure using the same lifting device that is used to place the superstructure on the chassis.

The cabinet trolleys are delivered to the hospital, two structures stacked on top of each other and stored on the laundry company's chassis. Here, the two structures are transferred to two separate chassis of the hospital and can then be driven to the individual wards.

The body of the cupboard trolley is conveniently provided with handles so that the cupboard trolley can be easily transported by hand. The handles can conveniently be provided on the top of the body and protrude laterally over the profile of the body so that the handles of the lower body are exposed and not covered by the body above. This is a particularly convenient height since the bodies have a height that can typically be in the approximate range between 1 m and 1.70 m.

The handles are conveniently integrated with the fixing recesses, recesses and/or projections. The upper structure therefore rests essentially on the handles or the parts integrated with them.

In a particularly simple embodiment, the fixing projections on the underside of the structure are angle elements that have two vertical plates that are perpendicular to each other. These can either work together with an angle-shaped slot (e.g. in the chassis) or with block-like elements that are provided, for example, on the top of the structure in connection with the handles.

In the embodiment of Fig. 1, the cabinet-shaped structure 1 is placed on a chassis 11, which has relatively high legs and has four rollers 2 at the corners. As shown in Fig. 2, an automatic lifting truck 3, shown in dashed lines, can be driven under the chassis 11, which lifts the entire cabinet trolley consisting of structure 1 and chassis 11, so that the wheels 2 no longer touch the ground.

The structure 1 is provided with handles 4 on its upper side, which are integrated there with fixing projections, which are explained in more detail in connection with Fig. 7.

In the embodiment of Figures 3 and 4, a slightly different chassis 12 is shown, in which the four wheels 2 are arranged at the corners of a diamond. In this embodiment, no lifting truck 3 is intended to drive under the chassis 12. Instead, the transport within the hospital takes place hanging, with the corresponding lifting devices engaging the handles 4 or the parts connected to them.

In the embodiment of Fig. 5 and 6, a third chassis 13 is shown, which is particularly low and is used for transport within the laundry. As can be seen, two structures 1 are arranged one above the other.

A preferred form of fixing devices is shown in Fig. 7. Angle slots 5 are provided at the corners of the chassis 13, into which angle elements 6 can engage, which are provided on the underside of the structure 1. On the top, the structure 1 has block elements 7, which in turn can be encompassed by the angle elements 6 of the structure 1 arranged above it.
