The invention relates to a transport pallet for sea containers.

For a sea container, lifting facilities must be available if the container is to be moved from one location to a land vehicle on which it is to be transported to another location.

On the other hand, hook vehicles are already known in waste disposal, which can pick up waste containers with their hook without any additional equipment, provided that these waste containers are equipped with a loading bracket.

The invention addresses the problem of being able to load and unload sea containers onto a hook vehicle without the need for additional lifting devices.

This is achieved by a transport pallet with two guide rails arranged at a distance from one another and which can be pushed under a container raised on one side, at one end of which a vertically upwardly projecting support frame with a support bracket for a hook vehicle is attached. Locking parts are provided to ensure safe transport. Furthermore, a device is provided to ensure that the sea container

can be placed completely on the transport pallet, i.e. it fits tightly against the support frame.

With the help of the transport pallet, a container can actually be placed on or removed from a hook vehicle without the need for additional lifting equipment.

The invention is explained below by way of example with reference to the drawing.

The figures show two guide rails 10 which are attached to one another at a distance that is approximately half the width of a container. At the free ends, the guide rails are equipped with a substantially horizontally extending sliding trough or skid 11, while a vertically projecting support frame 40 is attached to the opposite ends of the two guide rails. The frame and the guide rails are made of suitable material so that the parts can be welded together using struts and auxiliary parts in order to achieve the necessary strength.

The support frame 40 is equipped with a loading bracket 30, which is generally designated 30 and is equipped so that it can interact with the hook of a hook vehicle 70.

A trough-like part 31, which is designed with two lateral guide plates 32, can be attached to the guide rails 10. Accordingly, with the help of this trough-like part, a container 50 can not only be picked up very easily, but can also be transported safely during transport on the hook vehicle.

The trough-like part 31 or the transport pallet as a whole can be reinforced by bracket parts 33 which are distributed in the longitudinal direction over the transport pallet at a distance from one another.

Figure 3 illustrates the loading process, with the sea container 40 shown there being equipped with a loading bracket 51.

At the beginning, the container 50 rests in its horizontal position, but it can be raised on one side with the aid of a schematically shown hook vehicle 70 and a cable or a chain 51 to such an extent that two supports 60 can be placed under the raised floor surface. The hook vehicle 70 is then released from engagement with the cable 51. The vehicle picks up a transport pallet according to the invention on its loading bracket 30 in the corresponding manner. The hook vehicle 70 now guides the transport pallet, as shown in Figure 3, under the container 50 which is in an inclined position, to such an extent that only a few decimetres remain between the front end of the container 50 and the holding frame 40 of the transport pallet.

The hook vehicle 70 now takes the rope 51 of the sea container 50 back onto the hook and lifts the container 50 so that the supports 60 can be removed. Now the sea container 50 is brought into contact with the support frame 40 with its front end and the locking between the transport pallet and the container 50 is established. Finally, the process remains that instead of the rope 51 the loading bracket 30 is taken onto the hook of the loading vehicle 70, and in this position the unit 50 formed from the transport pallet and container can be transported on the hook vehicle.

Figures 4 to 6 show a modified embodiment of a transport pallet according to the invention. This concerns in particular the rear locking parts 20, which are intended to ensure during transport that

The locking parts are any kind of tab-like parts that can be hooked into the long holes of the fastening parts at the corners of the usual containers. Due to the previously described design, the locking parts can also be used to pull the sea container, which is not yet completely on the transport pallet, towards the transport frame 40.

In order to facilitate the above-described process of pulling the sea container onto the transport frame, transport rollers 101 can be provided between the support frames 10, which are aligned transversely to the guide rails 10. It is clear that with the help of these transport rollers 101, this process can be carried out with relatively little force.

When transporting a sea container on a transport pallet or on a hook vehicle, these transport rollers 101 would be a nuisance. Therefore, these transport rollers are attached to a frame 110 that is height-adjustable. Simple guide parts and appropriate dimensioning of the frame 110 are sufficient for this. Fig. 7 shows the position where the guide rails 10

and the frame 110 rest on the ground, and in this position the rollers 101 protrude vertically above the upper surface of the guide rails 10. In this position they can therefore roll off a picked-up container.

In the embodiment shown in Fig. 8, the guide rails 10 are located on the hook vehicle, and in this position the transport frame 110 can fall downwards so that the upper regions of the transport rollers 101 are no longer arranged in contact with the sea container.
