verdecken.Device for generating spatially perceptible projection images
There are already devices for generating spatially perceptible projection images
from two stereo images by means of two projection lenses arranged at eye relief
known. These facilities, which for example after the anaglyph or after
work with the polarization process, produce good three-dimensional images
but the disadvantage that for each viewer one of two different light filters
Existing viewing glasses are required. This disadvantage is serious in that
than these glasses are quite expensive and also very delicate. Besides, this is
Handing out the glasses to the spectators and collecting them again is cumbersome, and
there is a risk that such glasses will be lost. There are also already
Facilities known where at a certain distance from the projection screen
a grid of lines or stripes, consisting of translucent and opaque
Grid elements, is arranged in such a way that with one eye only the one
Lens and with the other eye only those of the other lens on the projection screen
generated image elements can be seen. This arrangement is disadvantageous in that
than the opaque grid elements each half of the projection image
cover up.
According to the invention, these disadvantages are avoided in that the
Grid elements of the arranged at a certain distance from the projection screen
Line or stripe grid of complementary color filters, e.g. B. Green filters and
Red filters, exist. It is useful on both
Sides of the projection screen
each such a grid is arranged, the grids being adjustable to one another.
In itself, the arrangement is a grid on both sides of the projection screen
known from grids made of transparent and opaque parts.
The drawing shows schematically an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention.
gehen.
The device usually contains two projection lenses i and 2 arranged at eye distance, by means of which two partial stereo images 3 and 4, which can be single images or series images (film strips), generated with the aid of a conventional stereo camera or in some other suitable manner, onto a projection screen 5, z. B. a screen, are projected. A grid of lines or stripes 6 is arranged at a certain distance from this screen 5. The elements a of this grid 6 consist of green color filters and the elements b of red color filters; however, the color filters can also be kept in other complementary colors. The distance of the grid 6 from the screen 5 is chosen so that the projection rays 8 coming from the objective i and passing through the boundary edges of the individual raster elements a and b intersect in the plane of the screen 5 with projection rays 9 which from the objective: 2 go through the boundary edges of the grid elements. The image parts that are projected onto the screen 5 by the raster elements a from the lens i, and the image parts generated by the lens: 2 via the same raster elements a come to lie directly next to one another on the screen 5. The image parts which are generated by the objectives i, 2 via the raster elements b, coincide with those generated via the raster elements a.
The image drawn on the screen in this way can be viewed from the rear of the screen 5. Here, a second grid 7, also composed of complementary color filter elements a and b ', is arranged at a suitable distance from the rear side (viewing side) of the screen. The grid 7 is divided so that the lines of sight i2 and 13 coming from the eye locations io and ii and passing through the boundary edges of the grid elements a 'and b' intersect with the rays 8 and 9 in the plane of the screen 5.
Betrachtet man nun
durchlassen. The process when the partial stereo images 3 and 4 are projected onto the screen 5 is as follows: the partial stereo image 3 is projected onto the screen 5 through the lens i. The projected image is broken down into a number of red and green-colored strip-shaped image parts by the grid 6. Through the lens 2, the partial stereo image 4 is projected onto the screen, also broken down into red and green image parts, in such a way that the red image parts with the green image parts generated by the lens i and the green image parts with the red image parts generated by the lens i in Coincide so that the colors on the screen 5 complement each other and an uncolored projection image is created. If this image is now viewed through the grid 7, each eye only records those image parts that have been generated by the objective assigned to this eye, since the filter elements a, b and c1, b 'only allow the light rays corresponding to its filter color to pass through.
The arrangement according to the invention has the advantage that the projection image
presents itself to the viewer in its entirety, i.e. not through the course of the picture
interrupting dark grid stripes is disturbed.
It should also be noted that the light to be used in the projection
must be as white as possible.
