Check valve Check valves are known that work properly
function at the usual technical pressures in the order of magnitude of i atü upwards.
Such check valves usually have a certain inertia, which is a small one
Delays in time when the direction of pressure on the valve changes.
Such a time delay is on the one hand due to the mass to be moved of that valve part
depending on the opening or closing of the valve depending on the pressure direction
brings about, and on the other hand of the more or less large valve travel.
Derartige Rückschlagventile können beispielsweise aus einer vertikal
gelagerten Scheibe aus porösem gasdurchlässigem Stoff, z. B. Porzellan, bestehen,
an.Such check valves can, for example, from a vertical
mounted disc made of porous gas-permeable material, e.g. B. porcelain, consist,
which are sealed on one side with a small amount of mercury, such as
it has already been proposed as a valve closure. That amount of mercury
becomes when a blast of air hits the other, mercury-free side
the porous disk is displaced by the blast of air, so that the air through the disk
can penetrate. On the other hand, if air hits the pane on the other side
final mercury, this blocks the way for air as it enters the disk
cannot penetrate and consequently cannot escape. As a result of the proportionate
large amounts of mercury also adhere to these valves, the disadvantages described above
at.
The invention is now concerned with a check valve of this type,
in the case of this, however, on a horizontally stored, gas-permeable filter plate
a mercury bead is arranged to move freely or to a limited extent, just see
is supported on its circumference against a circular sealing edge of the valve seat
and thereby causes the valve to close.
Such a thing
The check valve responds to the smallest pressures in the order of 1 mm of mercury
and also has an extremely low inertia. The valve travel lies
in the order of only 0.1 mm corresponding to a loss volume of about
i mms on the print side.
in der Größenordnung von o,oo2 mm2.The mercury bead has a diameter of about 3 mm and is in accordance with
the further invention on a filter plate made of porcelain, ceramic, porous
Plastics or stored from a fine-meshed wire mesh. This mercury bead
closes the path between one side of the valve and the other side of the valve
from that they are against the filter plate and on its periphery against the edge of the
The valve seat is supported and thereby assumes a slightly flattened spherical shape.

in the order of magnitude of 0.02 mm2.
In FIGS. I and 2, for example, an embodiment of the check valve is shown
according to the invention.
The valve is thus in a line for a gaseous medium
built in so that it can flow through the valve in the direction of the arrow.
If the direction of flow is reversed, the valve closes immediately and prevents it
a passage of the gaseous medium against the indicated arrow direction.
i verbunden sein.In the valve body i a filter plate 2 is mounted in such a way that it
is supported only with its edge 3 on corresponding projections of the valve body i.
The filter sheet 2 is also in its position by a valve seat q. held,
which has a conical recess on its opposite side, in which
a mercury bead 5 is arranged so that the inner edge of the conical
Turning the valve seat .4 is just slightly covered by the mercury bead.
The mercury bead 5 has in the position shown in elevation (Fig. I) as a result
its own gravity and the cohesive force inherent in the mercury
flattened spherical shape. The mercury bead rests mainly on the filter leaf
: 2 and rests against the edge of the conical recess of the valve seat q. only
so far that this edge is touched by the mercury over its entire circumference. the
Mercury bead 5 is also held in place by a valve insert 6.
The valve insert 6 has at its lower end, which is against the mercury bead
5, a spherically curved recess, which when the shape of the mercury bead changes
ensures that the mercury bead retains a flattened spherical shape,
when the mercury bead occurs as a result of the gaseous medium flowing through the valve
from the edge of the valve seat, I is lifted. In three or four places around the circumference
the valve insert has 6 ribs, creating channel-like recesses 7,
through which the connection between one and the other valve side is established
will. The valve insert 6 can be fixed to the valve body by suitable means
i be connected.
