Vorliegende Erfindung betrifft einen Steigbügel, bei welchem die am Steigriemen zu befestigende Oese rechtwinklig zu der eigentlichen Bügelöffhung steht. Letztere läuft somit parallel zur Längsachse des Pferdes, so dafs der Reiter beim Besteigen des Pferdes ohne Beihülfe bequem mit dem Fufse in den Bügel zu treten vermag. Ferner verhindert dieser Steigbügel vermittelst einer in dem Tritte des Bügels beweglich angeordneten Zunge bei einem etwaigen Unglücksfalle, wie Sturz oder dergl., ein Hängenbleiben mit dem Fufse in dem Steigbügel, wie es bei den jetzt gebräuchlichen Steigbügelconstructionen häufig vorkommt.The present invention relates to a stirrup, in which the on the stirrup to fastening eyelet is at right angles to the actual temple opening. Im wesentlichen besteht dieser Steigbügel aus den mit der Riemenöse b verbundenen Schenkeln α α¹ und dem Tritte c, in welchem eine Zunge d beweglich angeordnet ist. Der zur Befestigung des Steigriemens dienende Steg b¹ der Riemenöse b erstreckt sich parallel zur Längsachse des Pferdes, während die Schenkel aa^l rechtwinklig zu derselben angeordnet sind, und zwar derart, dafs der Schenkel a¹, welcher den Pferden am nächsten liegt, um die Länge des Steges b¹ nach dem Hintertheil des Pferdes hin versetzt ist. Die unteren Enden der Schenkel α α¹ sind durch den Tritt c mit einander verbunden. In letzterem ist die Zunge d vermittelst eines Scharnieres c¹ derartig drehbar gelagert, dafs die Oberfläche der Zunge d genau mit der Oberfläche des Trittes c abschneidet. Vermöge dieser Zunge erhält der Fufs nicht nur eine gröfsere und sichere Auflagefläche, sondern dieselbe bietet auch eine absolute Sicherheit gegen ein zu weites Durchgleiten des Fufses durch den Bügel, indem sich der hintere Theil der Zunge gegen die vordere Fläche des Absatzes legt. Ferner verhindert diese Zunge, dafs sich die Sohlenkante des Schuhzeuges hinter die vordere Kante des Trittes setzt und somit bei einem etwa eintretenden Unglücksfalle das schnelle Herausgleiten des Fufses aus dem Bügel verzögert oder gänzlich verhindert. Schliefslich sei bemerkt, dafs die Zunge derartig angeordnet ist, dafs dieselbe bequem entfernt bezw. befestigt werden kann, ohne die Haltbarkeit des Bügels zu beeinträchtigen, und dafs die rechtwinklig zu der Bügelöffnung stehende Riemenöse auch bei den jetzt gebräuchlichen Steigbügelconstructionen Anwendung finden kann.Essentially, this stirrup consists of the legs α α ¹ connected to the strap eyelet b and the step c, in which a tongue d is movably arranged.
