Signallaterne, insbesondere Eisenbahnsignallaterne Die Erfindung betrifft
Signal lantern, particularly railway signal lantern The invention relates to
a signal lantern, in particular a railway signal lantern, in which a lens optic
Application: Here you have a main light source (main thread of an incandescent lamp)
provided, which lies on the optical axis and arranged in the focal point of the optics
is. In order to have one more when this main light source or this main thread burns through
To have a signal display that also indicates the disturbed state of the signal,
if a secondary light source (secondary filament of the same incandescent lamp) has been provided,
which is outside the focus of the optics. The previously used
There were no solutions for the location of this secondary light source or the secondary thread
favorable results. So it is known that the secondary light source is behind the main light source
to be arranged on the optical axis. The brightness display of the signal is supposed to be
will be a worse one when the secondary thread is burning than when it is operating properly
with the main thread so that the malfunctioning operation is indicated. With this well-known
Arrangement, however, the light output when operating with the secondary thread was a considerable
worse than when operating with the main thread. The reason for this was that
due to the main thread lying immediately in front of the secondary thread, a very essential one
Shielding of the light rays emanating from the secondary thread was the case.
You could get around this caused by the shielding or glare
Disadvantage of reducing the size of the secondary thread above the optical axis
and
Arrange behind the focal plane of the optics. The light output is also
not improved by this arrangement. It is true that the shield is provided by the helix
of the main thread is lower here, due to the position of the secondary thread above the optical one
Axis, the light rays from the signal lantern fall with a beam inclination
downwards, so that in the straight ahead an equally low brightness display
as is the case with said known arrangement.
The invention avoids these disadvantages, and it will
if the secondary thread is burning, an extremely clearly visible and far-reaching signal display
guaranteed. The invention proposes the replacement or secondary thread in front of the focal plane
the optics, i.e. between the optics and the focal point of the optics and also below the
optical axis to be arranged. The secondary thread is thus seen from the point of view of optics
in front of the main thread and below the optical axis. The one coming from the secondary thread
Light is therefore no longer shielded at all by the main thread. With burning
The light rays from the optics become secondary threads with a slight upward inclination
emerge, but this can be corrected again by means of the scattering glasses placed in front of it.
It is true that the light emanating from the main thread suffers from a shadowing effect on the
Secondary thread helix a slight loss, but this is only a few percent and
does not play a role in the light output that is always good with the main thread. Essential
is, and this by far compensates for this slight disadvantage,
that the substitute light, which has so far had a poor effect, is now very much
good brightness display is present.
Comparative measurements reveal the following: According to the known
Arrangement in which the secondary thread is on the optical axis and behind the main thread
a ratio of io: i was to be achieved. So this means that the brightness
of the substitute light had the tenth part of that of the main light. No better
The result could be achieved with the arrangement in which the secondary thread sloped upwards
over the main thread, d. H. above the optical axis and behind the focal plane
lies. Experiments here also gave roughly the ratio of i: io. The reason
in both cases lies in the shading of the light sources by the main thread.
In the second version there is also the downward direction of the beams
added. In the arrangement according to the invention, the secondary thread lies in front of the focal plane
and below the optical axis. Even if the rays of light emanating from it with
leave the signal optics with a certain upward inclination, but that is in the
optical axis is already much higher than with the other two
Embodiments. The ratio here is 2.5: i, i.e. H. the one with the secondary thread
achievable light is still the 2.5th part of the main light.
