Die Scheibenwischer, insbesondere aber die Scheibenwischerblätter für Kraftfahrzeuge unterliegen auch außerhalb des Funktionsbetriebes einem Verschleiß, durch den die Lebensdauer wesentlich verkürzt wird. Aber auch durch Schmutz- und Sonnneneinwirkung tritt eine Qualitätsminderung des Materials der Scheibenwischerblätter und damit eine Reduzierung der Reinigungswirkung der Windschutzscheibe ein.
