Die Erfindung gehört in den Bereich Haushaltstechnik. Die Wäschetrockner-Schublade soll in die Arbeitsplatte einer Waschmaschine bzw. Wäschetrockners eingebaut werden. Derzeit sind die Arbeitsplatten innen hohl und leer. Die Arbeitsplatte besteht aus einer Rahmenkonstruktion, in der oben eine Hartfaserplatte als Arbeitsplatte bzw. Abstellfläche eingeschoben ist. Zwischen der Abdeckplatte und dem oberen Korpus des Waschgerätes ist bei allen Herstellern ca. 2,5 cm Lufthohlraum.
