Description
The invention relates to a noise protection or slope retaining wall made of wire mesh mats and earth or stone, consisting of wire mesh longitudinal wall mats, which in turn are connected to each other and to transverse wall mats and between which earth or stone material is introduced and then compacted.
DieMore and more noise barriers are needed on motorways and also on country and city roads to protect the houses and settlements behind them from noise. The same applies to railways, sports facilities and industrial areas, which are separated from residential areas by such noise barriers. The simplest type of such noise barrier is the construction of an earth embankment that runs parallel to the road, for example, and is then usually planted with bushes and trees. The disadvantage is that such an earth embankment requires a very wide base in order to make it sufficiently stable and to prevent it from being eroded and endangered by rain and other weather influences. Noise barriers made from individual building elements, i.e. prefabricated parts, are also known, whereby these are often built in such a way that individual floors are created with earth troughs in which plants can then be planted in order to better adapt the noise barrier to the surroundings. Apart from the difficulties in watering, the disadvantage is that the individual concrete parts are very heavy, so that a very strong foundation must be provided, which makes the construction costs very high. Other known noise barriers are those made up of individual wire mesh walls, whereby the basket-like structures assembled in this way can be placed on top of one another, so that a type of stepped structure is created, which has a continuous earth core inside, which can thus be optimally watered or is automatically watered so that the plants always have the necessary water supply.
Longitudinal walls of the wire mesh enclosure walls are connected to one another via transverse anchors arranged at a relatively close distance so that the earth material introduced does not exert too much pressure on these longitudinal walls during and after consolidation. This results in relatively slim-looking structures, but has the significant disadvantage that introducing the earth material and compaction are made considerably more difficult. In addition, the anchors must be purchased separately, transported and inserted into the wire mesh enclosure walls, which causes...
A similar design is also used for stone-filled, so-called wire gravel baskets or gabions, whose side walls are also connected by anchors that maintain distance and additionally by wire mesh or grid floors that are connected to the side walls and the cross walls. These so-called gabions are usually used to support unstable slopes. Here too, the costs of manufacturing are very high because the stone material usually has to be placed by hand.
The invention is therefore based on the object of creating a noise protection or slope retaining wall that can be assembled from individual elements, which can be erected more easily and with less effort and can be filled with soil or stones.
The object is achieved according to the invention in that the longitudinal walls are formed by wire mesh mats, the length of which is greater than the predetermined distance of the transverse walls and which are each introduced to form an outward-facing arch and are connected in an articulated manner to one another and to the preferably shorter, straight-running transverse walls.
Such a noise barrier can first of all be advantageously constructed, as is well known, from individual wire mesh mat walls in a stepped pyramid shape. The wire mesh mats are inserted in such a way that the longitudinal walls deliberately form bellies so that they are correspondingly relieved of pressure. This means that the cross anchors can be dispensed with, which leads to a significant reduction in costs and, in particular, to a simplification of assembly, filling and compaction. The longitudinal walls, which are connected to the transverse walls in an articulated manner, are supported on the transverse walls, whereby the arch provided by the longitudinal walls can be extended to a shark arch, but is usually located below it. After the earth material has been filled in much more easily and compacted, the next structure can be built on top of such a structure, which forms the first floor, and filled with earth material, after which the third and, if necessary, fourth and fifth structures are placed on top and filled with earth. A particular advantage here is that it is possible to work without the disadvantageous cross anchors, which were previously absolutely necessary for stabilization, so that the construction time for such a noise protection or slope retaining wall is also significantly reduced. The required excess length of the longitudinal walls can also be specified by the design of the connection between the longitudinal and transverse walls and thus only be adjusted during filling or assembly.
Processing with the hinge springs has the advantage, first of all, that a large number of connection points can be created between the transverse walls and the longitudinal walls and that, in addition, both the two longitudinal walls that abut against one another
This connection is articulated, which is already evident from the term "articulated spring", whereby, as mentioned, the course of the noise protection or slope retaining wall is determined by the position of the cross walls, which are set up accordingly and which then also determine the course of the longitudinal walls installed with arches. By arranging the cross walls at an angle to each other, an arched course of the structure can also be easily achieved.
Since the cross walls, as mentioned, determine the course and direction of the noise protection or slope retaining wall, their installation and position are very important. Therefore, according to the invention, it is additionally provided that the adjacent cross walls are connected to one another via diagonal links that act as spacers. In this design, the diagonal links therefore do not have the task of stabilizing the wire mesh walls as such, but only of keeping the cross walls at a predetermined distance in order to be able to precisely specify the course of the longitudinal walls. In this way, the cross walls can be installed exactly parallel.
Instead of diagonal links, it is also possible to connect the lower end bars of both adjacent cross walls near the floor with a horizontally arranged floor mat. This has the advantage that the cross walls can be installed exactly parallel. The floor mat does not represent any hindrance, but on the other hand ensures that the cross walls remain at the specified distance.
A practical way of connecting the cross walls with the floor mat is to connect the end bars of the adjacent cross walls with a continuously screwed-in coil spring or joint springs. The coil spring is screwed in and is laid down several times.
Wänden gegeben ist.around the individual horizontal bars of the cross walls and the floor slab or floor mat, so that a favorable connection with numerous contact points is provided between the individual mats or walls.
The installation of the floor mat or diagonal anchors is particularly effective when the end cross walls of a wall are fixed in or on the subsurface and anchored with diagonal struts. Advantageously, the arches of the respective longitudinal walls can then be formed without affecting the structure. Rather, the individual longitudinal walls "bulge" in a targeted manner exactly as desired and intended.
A noise barrier of practically any height can be achieved by combining transverse walls that are shorter as the wall increases in height with the longitudinal walls to form wall enclosures that also become shorter. This results in an advantageously stepped design of the noise barrier or slope retaining wall, which in turn ensures that plants feel comfortable on the specified ground areas and develop accordingly. A uniformly formed wall or a corresponding noise barrier or slope retaining wall is also achieved in particular when the length of the longitudinal walls placed one above the other is also uniformly longer than the distance between the transverse walls. This means that the longitudinal walls also run in an arc shape in the individual steps in order to be able to optimally meet the corresponding loads.
Weiter vorn ist bereits darauf hingewiesen worden, daß die Bögen der Längswände maximal einen Halbkreis ergeben können, wobei dann, abweichend von der aus der EP-A-o 13o bekannten Lösung, wo rohrförmige, senkrechtstehende GebildeIt has already been pointed out above that the arches of the longitudinal walls can form a maximum of a semicircle, whereby, in contrast to the solution known from EP-A-o 13o, where tubular, vertical structures
Jeder einzelne Korb oder auch die gesamte Wand könnten dann zu leicht umfal 1 en.made of wire, when put together accordingly, form the wall. The known embodiment in particular illustrates the advantage of the present invention in that the preliminary invention does not require any foundations to form such a sufficiently high noise barrier. In the state of the art, such a foundation is absolutely necessary, since otherwise the stability of such a wall is not guaranteed. Each individual basket or even the entire wall could then easily fall over.
In the invention, however, it is not intended that the semicircle is achieved, but rather the length of the longitudinal walls is set to be 5 to 30 cm, preferably 10 cm, longer than the distance between the transverse walls. This always results in structures with relatively flat bellies that are easy to fill and require less soil for filling, and which can also be handled much more easily and, as mentioned, do not require foundations.
In addition to the options of screwed-in hinge springs or coil springs, it is also possible to make the horizontal bars of the cross walls protrude over the last vertical bar and be bendable, so that after arranging the cross walls and longitudinal walls, the protruding longitudinal bars are simply bent around the corresponding vertical bars of the cross walls.
Where very narrow strips are available for a noise barrier, it can be useful if the cross walls are assigned to foundations resting on the subsoil and supported on trestles that are arranged upright on the foundations. This design has advantages over the generally known state of the art, in which simple flat mats are fixed to the corresponding trestles.
Dies reicht, um der gesamten Lärmschutzwand die notwendige Stabilität zu geben.the advantage that the pressure of the earth material filled in is largely reduced, so that such noise protection or slope retaining walls can reach a sufficient height even without the otherwise necessary cross anchors. Here, too, the longitudinal walls are connected to the cross walls in an articulated manner, whereby only these cross walls are attached to the foundations or connected to them. In order to keep the number of foundations as small as possible and thus also the associated production costs, it is planned that the foundations are arranged with trestles at a distance of three or more longitudinal walls. This is sufficient to give the entire noise protection wall the necessary stability.
It is particularly useful if the trestles are made of supports to form a triangle and if they are connected to the neighboring trestles via longitudinal supports that run parallel to the longitudinal walls at the tip. These supports that form triangles are particularly stable, which is further enhanced by the fact that a longitudinal support is preferably placed on top of their tip, which stabilizes the entire support structure to such an extent that the large distances between the individual foundations mentioned above can be maintained. The longitudinal supports also run through the mesh of the transverse walls that are not supported by foundations and thus also give these transverse walls sufficient transverse stability.
Dabei ist ergänzendAnother noise barrier, which is again advantageously designed in a stepped manner, is one in which several stepped transverse and longitudinal walls are placed one above the other and connected to transverse walls that become shorter from step to step. Here, too, the transverse walls are arranged in such a way that they are supported by the trestles, only that here, again, the stepped pyramid shape has been deliberately chosen, which results in berms arranged at intervals, which in turn are advantageous for planting. In addition,
It is intended that irrigation pipes can be laid out on the individual berms, running parallel to the longitudinal axis of the wall, thus ensuring that the plants are evenly watered even under unfavourable conditions. The irrigation pipe can be placed on or in the ground, with suitable measures being taken to ensure that the soil is moistened evenly.
The invention is particularly characterized by the fact that it creates a noise protection or slope retaining wall that is advantageously simple to manufacture, but nevertheless very stable, and in particular also allows for targeted compaction of the entire soil that forms the noise protection or slope retaining wall. These advantages arise from the fact that the cross anchors previously required for stabilization can be dispensed with, whereby the resulting wave-shaped or bulbous design of the noise protection or slope retaining wall even has optical advantages, because it creates a very loose wall, which also gives the plants that have been introduced the opportunity to use wind niches for special growth.

Fig. 1 shows a noise barrier (1) in front view, whereby it is clear that several wire mesh mats (2) are used as the basic element for the noise barrier (1). The longitudinal walls (3, 4) are shown with a more closely drawn network in order to make it clear that these longitudinal walls (3, 4) run in an arc shape, as Fig. 2 shows.

The transverse wall (5) is arranged in a straight line, with the individual transverse walls (5) arranged one above the other. The longitudinal walls (3, 4) of the upper building layer, on the other hand, are set in steps towards the inside.
At the corner points (6, 7) the individual longitudinal walls (3, 4, 3', 4') and transverse walls (5, 5') are connected to one another in an articulated manner, so that the correspondingly longer longitudinal walls (3, 4) each run in an arc (8, 9). The top view according to Fig. 2 illustrates this very clearly, whereby it is also made clear that several such wire mesh longitudinal walls (lo, 11, 12, 13) stacked on top of one another result in the noise barrier (1) also shown in Fig. 1 and 3.
Between the individual wire mesh longitudinal walls (lo, 11, 12, 13) or the steps formed by them, there are berms (14, 15, 16) on which, as well as on the top (17), plants can advantageously be provided.
Fig. 4, 5 and 6 show individual elements or wire mesh longitudinal walls (lo, 11, 12) with basically uniform outlines. By dimensioning the longitudinal walls (3, 4) differently, structures with different appearances can be created. The cross walls (5, 5'), which become shorter layer by layer, enable graduated arrangements as shown in Fig. 1, 2 and 3. At the corner points (6, 7) hinge springs (19) are provided for connection, while in the representation according to Fig. 5 diagonal anchors (2o, 21) are also inserted to specify the distance between the individual cross walls (5, 5'). At the same time, this also specifies the arch (8, 9) of the longitudinal walls (3, 4), since these are fixed at the corner points (6, 7).
Fig. 7 zeigt eine der Darstellung nach Fig. 6 entsprechende Ausbildung des Einzelelementes bzw. von Drahtgitterlängswänden (13), wobei hier zusätzlich eine BodenmatteFig. 7 shows a design of the individual element or of wire mesh longitudinal walls (13) corresponding to the illustration in Fig. 6, whereby here a floor mat is also
This floor mat (23) is effectively connected to the lower horizontal end bars (25, 26) of the transverse walls (5, 5') via coil springs (24). The same is also shown in the illustration according to Fig. 8, where a front view of the individual element or the wire mesh longitudinal mats (13) is shown. Here, the individual longitudinal walls (3, 4) and the transverse walls (5, 5') are also connected to one another in an articulated manner via a coil spring (24).
Fig. 9 shows a side view of a noise barrier (1), where the lowest individual element or wire mesh longitudinal wall designated (lo) is shown. It is clear here that the transverse wall (5) is fixed by means of tension anchors (28) or supports (28') in order to be able to fix all subsequent transverse walls (5 1 ) to this last transverse wall (5) in this way.
Gleiches erfolgt nach Fig. 11 über den umbiegbaren Überstand (33).Fig. 10 and 11 show the connection area between two individual elements (lo, lo1 ), whereby it is clear that the respective horizontal bars (29, 3o) are arranged so as to converge at an angle, so that the vertical bars (31, 31', 32) can then be effectively connected to one another via the joint springs (19). The same is done according to Fig. 11 via the bendable projection (33).
Fig. 12 to 14 show special designs in that a very narrow noise barrier (1) is specified here. In order to give the noise barrier (1) the necessary stability, foundations (36) are provided in the subsurface (35), onto which a trestle (37) is screwed or otherwise fastened, to which the transverse walls (5) are firmly attached. As Fig. 12 and Fig. 14 make clear, such foundations (36, 36') are provided at a distance which is greater than the length of the individual elements (lo, lo', lo 1 ').
The trestles (37), which form a triangle (4o), as shown in Fig. 13, preferably have a longitudinal beam (38) lying on the tip (39), which thus also contributes, among other things, to making the large distance between the individual foundations (36, 36') apparent from Fig. 14 and 12 possible and to ensuring the necessary transverse stability of the transverse walls (5, 5' 1 ) not provided with the foundations and trestles.
The trestle (37) is formed by a triangle (4o), which in turn is formed by two supports (41, 42), which are supported on the one hand by the foundation (36) and on the other hand are brought together at the tip (39) in such a way that the longitudinal support (38) can also be attached and secured here.
Fig. 13 further shows that the wall shown here has the shape of a stepped pyramid, with irrigation pipes (44, 44', 44'') being arranged on the individual berms (14, 15, 16) parallel to the longitudinal axis of the noise barrier wall (1) in order to be able to evenly irrigate the earth core (45) of the noise barrier wall (1).
Fig. 14 zeigt die Draufsicht auf die Lärmschutzwand (1) nach Fig. 12 und 13, wobei auch hier die einzelnen Bermen sichtbar werden, die durch das stufenförmige Aussehen bzw. die stufenförmige Ausbildung der Lärmschutzwand (1) entstehen .Fig. 14 shows the top view of the noise barrier (1) according to Fig. 12 and 13, whereby here too the individual berms are visible, which are created by the stepped appearance or the stepped design of the noise barrier (1).
A comparable noise barrier (1) can also be seen in Fig. 15 to 17, whereby, unlike all other designs of the noise barrier (1), a single-stage design is shown here. Fig. 15 shows the side view, whereby it is clear that the foundations (36, 36') are also arranged at such a distance that several wire mesh longitudinal walls (lo, lo', lo 11 ) are "stretched" between the individual trestles (37, 37').
Fig. 17 also illustrates the same. To stabilize the entire structure, the longitudinal support (38) is provided, which preferably runs on the tip (39), as is also indicated in Fig. 16. Fig. 16 again illustrates the triangle (4o) which is formed by the supports (41, 42) and which is stabilized by the longitudinal support (38) on the tip (39), so that such a bracket (37) is advantageously suitable for holding correspondingly narrow but very high transverse walls (5, 5', 5 11 ).
Fig. 18 und 19 zeigen eine Hangstützwand. It is clear that the actual slope retaining wall (47) is very similar to the noise barrier wall or is the same as it. This slope retaining wall (47) is also made up of individual wire mesh mats (2) with a corresponding design. The individual elements (48, 49, 50) made up of the individual wire mesh mats (2) are either placed one above the other, as in the noise barrier wall (1), or, as shown in Fig. 18, slightly offset from one another, so that here too the stepped design is achieved, especially on the front wall. Because the middle individual element (49) has the same dimensions as the individual element
(48) verwendet wird und entsprechend versetzt ist, gelingt es, mit dem mittleren Korb bzw. dem mittleren Einzelelement(48) is used and is offset accordingly, it is possible to use the middle basket or the middle single element
Diese Hangstützwand (47) ist aus den übereinander angeordneten Einzelelementen (48, 49, 5o) zusammengesetzt, wobei auf der Hangseite nur die beiden oberen Einzelelemente (49, 5o) sichtbar, während bei der Draufsicht nach Fig.(49) to interrupt the fracture line or to prevent the formation of a corresponding fracture line, so that there is no risk of overloading or slipping of the piled-up earth material (51). Fig. 19 shows the top view of the earth embankment or slope retaining wall (47) shown in Fig. 18. This slope retaining wall (47) is made up of the individual elements (48, 49, 5o) arranged one above the other, whereby on the slope side only the two upper individual elements (49, 5o) are visible, whereas in the top view according to Fig.
Mit (5, 5') sind die Querwände bezeichnet.19 on the slope-free side all three individual elements (48, 49, 5o) with their longitudinal walls (3) become or remain visible. The transverse walls are marked (5, 5').
All features mentioned in the description and elsewhere, including those that can be taken from the drawings alone, are considered essential to the invention, both alone and in combination.
