Hair catchers of conventional design have the following disadvantages: when closing the drain with a drain plug the hair catchers must be removed; the hair catchers of conventional design are difficult to clean and attach.

By combining the drain plug and hair catcher elements, there is no need to remove the hair catcher to close the drain valve.

When inserting or removing and cleaning, the drain plug serves as a holder.

The drain plug is held in the open position by a coil spring (2).

It is closed by simply pressing, which clamps the drain plug (1.) into the drain. It is opened by pulling on a chain.
