Druck-Mess-Sensor mit Akustikgeber bestimmt zum Einbau in die Schuhe von Patienten im Bereich der KrankenheilkundePressure measuring sensor with acoustic transmitter intended for installation in the shoes of patients in the field of healthcare
The invention relates to a medical device in the field of physiotherapy, which can be used in particular for leg, joint and knee injuries of all kinds, where a certain maximum or minimum load on the affected body parts, as prescribed by the treating doctor, should not be exceeded or fallen below in order to achieve the healing goal and to promote recovery.
The patient cannot estimate, or can only estimate roughly, how much weight he is putting on the affected part of the body and thereby unknowingly endangers the healing process. In addition, the common practice of having the physiotherapist practice the load using (bathroom) scales is questionable as the recall value of the exercise is low and the motivation of the patient to follow the instructions exactly is also low.
The aim of this innovation is therefore to acoustically inform the patient at every step if the maximum load is exceeded or the minimum load is not reached, so that ignoring the incorrect load is at least made more difficult and thus positively supports the healing process.
The solution to this problem through my invention lies in the installation of a pressure measuring sensor with an acoustic transmitter in each of the patient's shoes, which emits an acoustic signal as a warning in the event of incorrect loading and draws the patient's attention to the loading error. Since different alarm trigger loads are necessary and the optimal load can also change during the course of therapy, the device can be continuously adjusted to the required trigger load using a potentiometer.
In the following example, a patient with a knee injury and a body weight of 75 kg is being treated. According to the doctor's instructions, he should place 5 kg of weight on his knee in the first week and 10 kg in the following week. The patient uses crutches to reduce the load on the injured knee, with which he can theoretically vary the load from 1 kg to his full body weight. However, as mentioned at the beginning, there is a lack of empathy for this.
An diesem Punkt setzt meine Erfindung an:This is where my invention comes in:
The patient is given a shoe for the foot on the side of which the injured leg is located, in which the pressure measuring sensor with acoustic transmitter is integrated. The therapist sets the alarm to a value greater than 5kg. If the patient now places more than 5kg of weight on his leg and thus on the injured knee when walking using the crutches, an acoustic signal sounds. The patient now knows with every step whether he has exceeded the maximum permissible load. Furthermore, this solution allows the patient to work towards the permissible value and gets a feel for the load weight through the check that takes place with every step.
In the second week, the therapist increases the trigger value to 10 kg. Due to the previous training, the patient is familiar with the 5 kg load; when the load value of 10 kg is reached, the alarm sounds.
Analogous to the above example, the opposite case is also conceivable, where a minimum load is desirable. In this case, the desired load value would then be set and the patient would be told that the acoustic sensor must sound with each step.
Die Vorteile der Erfindung sind vielfältig:The advantages of the invention are manifold:
The desired minimum or maximum load on the body parts can be precisely maintained.
The patient inevitably gets a feeling for the level of stress.
Der Heilungsprozeß wird hierdurch erheblich unterstützt. This significantly supports the healing process.
