Für das Aufbringen von Mustern auf einen Kanevas sind drei verschiedene Methoden bekannt. Nach der ersten Methode wird das Muster aufgezeichnet und von der Musterzeichnung durch den Sticker Stich für Stich auf den Kanevas übertragen. Erfindungsgemäß wird das Muster fadengerecht auf den Kanevas derart aufgebracht, daß es entweder auf den Kettfäden oder auf den Schußfä,den erscheint. Bei -einem so auf dem Kanevas aufgebrachten Muster kann der Sticker eine Arbeit ausführen, die ebenso: .genau ist wie bei Anwendung einer besonderen Musterzeichnung. Man benutzt für jede Farbe eine Schablone.
