Description
The subject of patent 895 738 are directly adjacent to the hanging wall Shell iron for a wandering expansion of mining operations. These Shell irons are at the points where the forces of the supporting punches are transmitted must be provided in a known manner with profile reinforcements that both towards the protruding free end and towards the middle of the shell iron length are extended over the punch thickness in such a way that they act as pressure distribution pieces be effective. This effectively underpins the hanging wall over a larger area and the specific surface pressure is reduced at this point. The consequence of this is that the shell irons are no longer directly under the action of the rock pressure turn next to the punches, but that they generally keep a straight shape.
At very high mountain pressures, however, it happens that the shell irons now bend, kink or even break at the ends of the reinforcement pieces. It is therefore necessary to make the transition between the reinforcement and the normal shell iron gradually shape.
According to the invention this is done in that the attached to the shell iron, The two pressure reinforcement pieces lengthened beyond the punch thickness in this way are arranged so that they jointly reinforce a certain section of the shell iron, while other short sections adjoining this section on both sides are each reinforced only by a pressure distribution piece. To this end you can the two associated pressure distribution pieces can be of different lengths. You can but also about the same length, but offset from one another by a portion of their length be connected to the shell iron.
With the above-described training, a gradual transition from reinforced to unreinforced shell iron can be achieved. The reinforcement corresponds because it is strongest towards the support point increases, the occurring moments of force. That the increase in gain is gradual takes place is irrelevant; the effect is similar to that of one on top of the other Leaf springs. A significant increase in the weight of the shell irons takes place through the specified gain not.
The use of shell irons reinforced in the manner described is of particular importance in mechanical coal mining, if through protruding shell iron a stamp-free dismantling front should be created. Despite Due to their high resilience, the cup irons are relatively easy to handle. There is a considerable saving in iron.
In the drawing, an embodiment of a shell iron is according to of the invention shown. It shows Fig. I a part of the shell iron with the stamp in side view, FIG. 2 an associated end view, FIG. 3 a horizontal longitudinal section through the cup iron.
The cup iron io is at the point of support by the stamp i i reinforced by pressure distribution pieces 12 and 13. These two reinforcement pieces are inserted between the flanges of the T-iron on the riser and expediently through Welding connected to the shell iron.
The reinforcement inserts 12 and 13 give the shell iron io the support point a greater flexural rigidity. In that the reinforcement piece 13 is longer than the insert 12 provided on the other side, the reinforcing piece 13 extends beyond the insert 12 with both ends, the advantage is achieved that the flexural rigidity gradually increases from the support point on both sides decreases.
The same advantage could be achieved if two reinforcement pads of the same length would be used, but which are offset from one another in this way would be arranged that they only partially coincide.
Of course, the invention can be used in the same or a similar manner can also be used for shell irons that have a different cross-sectional shape than the illustrated 1-iron.
