Holder for Long guns in automobiles

The invention relates to a holder for long weapons according to the preamble of claim 1.

The safe transport of long guns in cars is not possible without special equipment." It must be prevented that a weapon that is only loosely inserted can fall around inside the car while driving. There are therefore already holders for long guns that are known and commercially available and that can be attached to the car and hold the weapon securely while driving.

However, installing these commercially available holders always involves a considerable amount of work, i.e. the holders must be screwed into a suitable place in the car or possibly even fixed in place.

The invention is based on the object of avoiding this work and creating a holder that can be simply attached to a suitable vehicle-mounted part in the car and just as easily removed again.

This object is achieved by a holder which has the features specified in claim 1. This holder according to the invention consists essentially of three parts, namely a flat plate on which a commercially available rifle holder is placed on one side, and on which two clamping plates are placed on the other side, with which the holder can be pushed onto a part fixed to the car in a friction-locking manner.

In a preferred embodiment, it is proposed to use the U-flanks of a U-profile as clamping plates, which is placed on the quasi-back of the flat plate. A U-profile piece should be selected, the clear width between the flanks of which corresponds approximately to the thickness of the grab handle on the dashboard of the car. The holder designed in this way can then be easily pushed onto the grab handle, where it sits firmly in place with friction, provided the U-profile is wide enough.

This frictional connection can be improved by lining the inner sides of the U-profile with a friction-increasing material, e.g. velour or rubber etc.

If the flat plate is of a suitable size, several holding pieces can be arranged next to one another on the front side, so that the holder according to the invention is suitable for the simultaneous transport of several long weapons.

If the frictional connection of the clamping plates on the handle is not sufficient to hold the weapon securely, a thread can be drilled through one side of the U-profile, through which a clamping screw is screwed, which then clamps the holder firmly onto the handle. This is then conveniently done by inserting a pressure plate in between.

Holders for long weapons for their safe transport in off-road vehicles and similar vehicles, which are preferably equipped with a handle or a similar protruding part on the dashboard opposite the passenger seat, characterized in that the holder consists on its front side of a holding piece (3) with a running recess with a safety strap or the like that can be folded over and fastened and on its back side of two clamping plates that are approximately the same distance apart as the thickness of the handle, with which the holder can be pushed onto the handle (1) with friction* 2.)
