Until now, folder spine labels were either not protected or only protected by plastic folders or PVC spine labels with pockets. One variant is expensive and complex to produce, the other is not grip-resistant.

Variant a) fulfils the task of preventing the spine label from peeling off and, by adjusting the film around the surface of the folder spine, preventing the protective film from coming off due to constant handling.

The pocket under the handle hole in variant al) allows appointment notes, etc. to be inserted. Variants b), c), d) complement this task by allowing the label to be changed - without re-covering the file spine. The new label is accommodated in the pockets.

The variants within systems b), c), d) are intended to expand the possibilities for changing the labeling.

Variant b) allows only segments of the label to be changed. If, however, the entire font should be exchangeable, variant c) can be used. Variant d) finally fulfills the task of enabling appointment notes and similar data to be quickly inserted through the side opening, in addition to exchanging the label.

The advantage of these variants is that they save material, as a result of the possibility of using smaller paper segments for new labeling.

The advantage of these film systems compared to the special plastic folder systems with plastic pockets is that old folders that are still functional can be reused, and the contents ^of the files do not have to be re-sorted into a new folder if only the file spines need to be repaired. In addition, the use of the adhesive film makes it possible to change from variant a) to one of the variants b) - c) by simply covering them. If the pockets are not needed, this avoids tearing of the folders - a problem common to all existing systems. Compared to PVC folder spine labels, the above systems have the advantage that they adapt completely to the file surface and therefore do not create unsightly corners. Compared to my own utility model, these film systems offer increased variability.

Finally, these polishing systems can be produced by simple polishing punching - variant a) or by foil welding (pockets), variants b)-d). All foils are placed on release paper as peel-off systems. The grip holes, which are also located in the folder spine, as well as the triangles on the cover edges (diagram - 3 - I) must be punched.

2) Folder systems for loose-leaf collections with protective foil shield

The last foil systems to be described here are similar to the variants a)-d) mentioned under 1) - with the only difference that a handle hole is superfluous, since the spines of the collection folders for single-sheet collections usually do not have a handle hole. *· (Diagram -3- II) .
