Orgelorgan
The invention relates to an organ with a transmitting station arranged on the console with a multiplexer which detects key and register signals triggered in the console, as well as with a transmitting control for generating serial signals which are fed via a data transmission path, in particular an optical fiber, to a receiving station for controlling the wind chest magnets.
In the known organs, the key and register signals triggered on the console are interrogated via a serial interface and converted into serial data by the transmitting control. The data transmission path used to transmit the serial data can be a fiber optic cable or a coaxial cable. The receiving station is equipped with a multiplexer and is used to convert the serial data so that the signals generated simultaneously in the console can also be fed to the wind chest magnets in parallel. A disadvantage of the known organs is that the switch signals of the couplers in the console require a further coupling circuit and a separate data transmission path.
The invention is based on the object of further developing an organ of the type described in the introduction in such a way that the coupling information is created with little circuitry effort and the separate data transmission path is simplified.
The solution is characterized in that the transmitting station has a signal processing circuit which detects switching signals from the couplers and feeds them as serial data into the data transmission path for the key and register signals. The signal processing circuit corresponds in principle to the known circuit for querying the key and register signals. This means that the coupling information can also be routed over the same data transmission path that is used for transmitting the key and register signals.
An advantageous embodiment is obtained if the signal processing circuit has a multiplexer, the output signals of which are fed to the transmitter control, which creates the serial data from key, register and coupling signals. In this case, the known signal processing circuit with a multiplexer for the key and register signals must be expanded to include a multiplexer for the switching signals of the couplings. The multiplexers for the key and register signals remain unaffected by this. Only the transmitter control is now fed with signals from another multiplexer, which is assigned to the couplings. The transmitter control is modified compared to the known solution in that it also creates the coupling information and links it with the other key and register signals. If a key from two different uncoupled manuals is pressed, the receiving station receives the same data sequence as when only one key is pressed with the coupling of the corresponding second manual switched on.
The above solution has the significant advantage that the receiving station and the data transmission path can remain unchanged as known solutions. The multiplexers for the key and register signals can also be retained unchanged. Since all the coupling information is provided with the help of just one additional multiplexer in an existing transmitter control, the organs can be manufactured more cost-effectively. The additional use of existing modules for processing and forwarding the coupling signals also reduces the organs' susceptibility to interference. Another advantage is that the board with the additional multiplexer for the coupling circuit is identical to the board for the key signals and the board for the register signals. This not only reduces the costs for manufacturing, but also for storing spare parts, because the same board can be installed in three different places with different functions in the console.

The invention is described in more detail below with reference to a block diagram shown in the drawing. This is a representation of components in the transmitting station and in the receiving station as well as a data transmission path.
The game table, not shown in detail in the figure, contains a transmitting station (1) which is connected to a data transmission line (2) which in turn is connected to the receiving station (3). The transmitting station (1) contains three identical multiplexers (4, 5, 6). The multiplexer (4) is used to query key signals (7), the multiplexer (5) to query the register signals (8) and the multiplexer (6) to query the coupling switch signals (9).
Registriervorrichtungen. The output signals of the multiplexers (4, 5, 6) are fed to a transmitter control (10), which links the coupling switching signals (9) and key signals (7), which are partially present in parallel, in such a way that serial data is available at the output of the transmitter control (10), which is fed to the data transmission path (2). The data transmission path (2) consists of an electro-optical converter (11), an optical fiber (12) and an opto-electrical converter (13). The output signals of the opto-electrical converter (13) are fed to a reception control (14), which in turn forwards control signals to demultiplexers (15, 16, 17), which convert the serial input signals into parallel output signals. These output signals are used to control the wind chest magnets or recording devices.
