Description
Process for obtaining a methane-rich gas and higher hydrocarbonsunc If necessary, oxygen-containing hydrocarbon compounds town gas is already by gasifying solid fuels with oxygen or oxygen-enriched fuels Air and water vapor under a pressure of several atmospheres, for example 2o to 3o at. Under these gasification conditions one occurs considerable methane formation, so d.aß: the gas after complete or partial removal the undecomposed water vapor and the carbonic acid formed during the gasification Has calorific values of around 4,000 to 450,000 units. If bituminous fuels are gasified, so tar and gasoline can be extracted at the same time.
It has also been proposed to detoxify or detoxify such gas in the colloidal monoxide, the content is considerably lower by the fact that it passes through a synthesis plant is run in the higher hydrocarbons or higher hydrocarbons and oxygen-containing hydrocarbon compounds are generated. Here was efforts are made to conduct this synthesis in such a way that, if possible, a gas that complies with the city gas standard incurred. This way of working should also be used to avoid peak loads to compensate for gas consumption. Pressure gasification was wanted when there was a lot of gas extraction load so high that a gas with a lower methane content was produced, and the synthesis operate at a higher temperature in order to obtain larger amounts of end gas and at the same time through higher methane formation in the synthesis the lower methane content this Pressurized gasification gas balance. This way was not particularly economical, because that in the synthesis methane formed more expensive than that in the as a result of the higher hydrogen consumption Synthesis: is formed gasoline, and -the amount of gas in spite of the very higher load of the Pressurized gasification does not increase to the same extent, because in. The synthesis, in order to achieve the same calorific value of the end gas, more carbon monoxide than with less Load on the pressure gasification must be implemented, so that an additional loss of the gas volume occurs in the synthesis.
You already have methane-containing gases obtained by pressurized gasification in the way for the recovery of higher hydrocarbons, odAggl. by catalytic Kohloxydh.ydirierung used that the Druc kvergasungsgas after cleaning by the contact furnace was sent. The end. the gas with a high methane content, .that the contact furnaces, synthesis gas was also produced by splitting methane, : that useful in a «-eitergin synthesis stage to higher hydrocarbongin or d: gl. was implemented.
It has now been found that the use of gases containing metban for the extraction of higher hydrocarbons and possibly oxygen-containing ones Connections, e.g. B. alcohols, by carbohydrate hydrogenation in the way with the production of heating gases, e.g. B. town gas, long-distance gas or the like. Connect lets @ that the strong fluctuations that are known in the decrease of these gases through the consumers, in particular due to the season, occur, are compensated can, without that, the economy of gas generation and synthesis is essential is affected.
According to the invention are in particular by pressure gasification with oxygen or oxygen-enriched air and water vapor generated gas, coke oven gas, however also other methane-containing gases obtained by degassing or gasification processes or the like, initially for the production of hydrocarbon and possibly oxygen-containing Compounds of carbohydrate hydrogenation with known cobalt or iron contacts subject. From the gases flowing out of the contact furnaces, a up to o / o falling partial gas flow for splitting the methane contained therein treated and then recycled in @ d @ ie carbon dioxide hydrogenation. The rest of the gases is sold as methane-rich town gas, long-distance gas or the like. It has shown, that by this process fluctuations in the gas consumption by the consumer up to q.oo o / o and above can be compensated.
Will man Gase mit hälieren Heizgerten, z. The invention also creates the possibility of using methane-rich gases produce different calorific values, for example by using Pressure gasification gas and iron catalysts in synthesis. a (gas with the calorific value and the burning properties. win from town gas. If you want to cut gases with heating devices, z. B. from 6ooo to ;; @ ooo WE obtained, so can also from pressurized gas or town gas or d: gl. can be assumed. One ensures .that in the starting gas There are as few inert gases as possible, such as nitrogen or carbon dioxide, and: can then carry out the synthesis with cobaline catalysts or iron catalysts, when using iron catalysts, it is advisable to work with cycle gas will.
For example, a Druckvergasungsan.lage is operated so that a gas with few inert components (carbon dioxide and nitrogen) is produced; z. B. as pure oxygen and water vapor as possible is used as a gasification agent, and there will be the carbon dioxide formed during the gasification and the decomposed water vapor z. B. by pressurized water washing to .auf a, small remainder of about 1 to 21 / o removed. The gas which the synthesis leads to -, - contains, then besides, small Inert gas constituents methane, carbon monoxide and hydrogen, e.g. B. approximately in proportion from i: i to 1.5: 2 to 2.5. The synthesis can be done with cobalt or iron catalysts operate. A gas emerges from the synthesis, which after separation of the liquid hydrocarbon in addition to the inert components. (Nitrogen and carbonic acid) and a residue of carbon oxide and hydrogen that is not converted in the synthesis contains mainly methane and other gaseous hydrocarbons. This (gas is now partly released as high-quality remote gas or the like and on the other hand part of a splitting of the gaseous hydrocarbon in particular of methane and returned to the synthesis. Here you can Divide the split gas either back into the cycle in the same synthesis furnace or work up in a second synthesis stage. Depending on the gas withdrawal can now the part of the amount of gas returned to the synthesis is smaller or larger. In the case of high gas extraction, the lower proportion of the recycled gas can be used in the synthesis process also in part. be compensated for by the fact that the pressure gasification is somewhat stronger is charged. This is within certain limits. possible, suspecting the composition of the gasification gas practically changes, in particular its methane content decreases. You can also use the already existing one for the higher performance of the pressure gasification system Use reserves. If there is less gas withdrawal, more synthesis gas is produced accordingly split, and a larger amount of higher hydrocarbon is produced during normal operation, the pressurized gasification system. Also through various loads the synthesis can still compensate for fluctuations in the gas consumption, without the economy of the synthesis being impaired. In particular you can switch off the synthesis to higher yields with increased gas consumption and they operate economically despite the lower gas load.
As noted above, the synthesis plant can use cobalt or iron contacts be affected. Cobalt contacts are known to require one Consumption of carbon oxide and hydrogen in the ratio of i: 2 to i: 2.3. A Gas suitable for this consumption ratio can e.g. B. in a gasification plant can be achieved by using larger amounts of water vapor in the gasification agent.
The cleavage of the methane-rich gas is advantageously carried out with pure Oxygen to keep the inert content of the synthesis gas low. The one in the split The carbon dioxide produced can be removed from the gas by subsequent pressure washing removed. To achieve hydrogen-rich gases. the use of cobalt contacts In the case of the Spalturig, there is also a regulation of the proportion of carbon monoxide to hydrogen in the split gas achieved by adjusting the addition of water vapor.
When using iron contacts, which is known to be a consumption ratio from carbon oxide to hydrogen, such as 0.6 to 0.8: 1, can have this ratio in the gasification plant by recirculation of washed out carbonic acid from the Pressurized water scrubbing affects the gasification or the cracking system in the gas generator will. In the synthesis plant there is a change in the consumption ratio of carbon oxide: Hydrogen by recycling the synthesis gases up to a carbon oxide-hydrogen ratio from i: 1.6 possible. The splitting system is also made possible by using Carbonic acid in splitting causes a shift in the ratio of carbonic oxide : Hydrogen.
The method allows z. B. in summer operation with a delivery of Small amounts of gas increase the production of liquid hydrocarbons compared to winter operation when delivering large amounts of gas. This would result the better evaluation of the liquid hydrocarbons for the gas to be dispensed mean a high cost burden in winter. The thermal utilization of the However, the gas used is then due to the reduction in losses in the Synthesis and: the split higher than in summer operation, so that a balance the lower income due to the low production of liquid hydrocarbons is achieved.
It is known that in the synthesis plant, the gas pollution can be reduced a larger proportion of higher-boiling hydrocarbons can be achieved. Both The method according to the invention is the gas load when delivering large amounts of gas lower in the synthesis, so that here by the production of higher boiling hydrocarbons, which have a better rating as starting products for the chemical industry than the lower boiling ones, also a good compensation for the poorer rating the large amount of gas to be delivered is achieved.
Explanation of the invention serve -the drawing which can be seen in the diagram, for example, three different operating states, on the same plant working according to the method according to the invention without further can be set.
The operating conditions are shown on the basis of a gas quantity of 10,000 Nm3 with normal operation of the pressurized gasification system. In normal operation, the pressure gasification and the synthesis are switched off under normal load, denoted by 100 / o. iooo Nm3 pressure gasification gas Zoo m3 gas with high methane content obtained; also 175 kg of synthesis products, and q; oo Nm3 of gas resulting from the synthesis are sent through the cleavage. With the same load on the pressurized gasification system and. relatively little higher load on the synthesis' the z. B. in summer low gas consumption can be reduced to 100 Nm3 methane-rich gas with an increase in the amount of synthesis products to 217 kg and with cleavage of 65o Nm3 gas led through the synthesis. Should z. If, for example, a lot of methane-rich gas is given off in winter operation, the load on the pressure gasification is increased to i2o 1 / o and that of the synthesis is reduced to 85%. -The split can be shut down for overhaul. The amount of synthesis products only drops to i3; i #, kg. This example clearly shows that the profitability of the operation is never jeopardized, even with very, high fluctuations in the gas output.
