The invention relates to a plastic pipe which has a transverse profiling, in particular a transverse grooving, at least along part of its length L.
Such plastic pipes with cross-profiling or cross-grooving are made of polyvinyl chloride or polyethylene, for example, and are used as electrical installation material or for drainage purposes. In addition to these materials, comparatively high-quality polyamide is also used for plastic pipes of the type mentioned above. The well-known ones, a cross-profiling or in particular a cross-grooving
Plastic pipes with a cross-profiling are single-layered, i.e. they consist of a single material. In addition to these single-layered, i.e. cross-profiled, plastic pipes made of a single material, multi-layered plastic pipes are also known. Such multi-layered plastic pipes are described, for example, in DE-Z "Kunststoffe", 78 (1988) 5, pages 407 to 410 and pages 1095 to 1099. However, these co-extruded multi-layer pipes are smooth pipes, i.e. pipes that are simply designed with a smooth surface without cross-profiling or cross-grooving.
The invention is based on the object of creating a plastic pipe of the type mentioned at the beginning, which, in addition to the good mechanical properties provided by the cross-profiling or cross-grooving, such as good bending behavior and high vibration resistance, can be produced inexpensively by suitable material selection in comparison to known plastic pipes with cross-profiling or cross-grooving.
Such a plastic pipe has the advantage that, for example, the inner layer can be adapted to the material of the medium flowing through the plastic pipe, or that the outer layer can be adapted to the environment in which the plastic pipe is used. This is important, for example, when using a plastic pipe with a cross-profiling or cross-grooving in vehicle construction. If aggressive media are to be transported using a cross-profiled or cross-grooved plastic pipe according to the invention, it may be sufficient to form the inner layer that comes into contact with this medium from a suitable material that is
Die Zahl der Lagen, die coextrudiert, d.h. in einem gemeinsamen Extrusionsarbeitsgang gebildet werden, hängt von der Auswahl der Materialien für die einzelnen Lagen und von den gewünschten Eigenschaften ab, die an das Kunststoffrohr gestellt werden.transported medium is not attacked, and at least one further layer of the profiled plastic pipe that does not come into contact with the aggressive medium to be transported is to be made of a cheaper material in order to reduce the material costs and thus the overall production costs of the plastic pipe, without thereby impairing the mechanical properties of the plastic pipe in terms of flexibility, vibration resistance or the like. If a non-aggressive medium is to be transported with such a profiled or cross-grooved plastic pipe &zgr;, &Bgr;., but the plastic pipe is located in an aggressive environment, it is possible to form the inner layer that comes into contact with the medium to be transported from a less demanding material and only to manufacture the outer layer of the profiled plastic pipe that comes into contact with the environment from a material that can withstand the aggressive environment. Of course, the cross-profiled or cross-grooved plastic pipe can also have more than two co-extruded layers of different materials. The number of layers that are co-extruded, i.e. formed in a common extrusion process, depends on the choice of materials for the individual layers and on the desired properties of the plastic pipe.
The at least one core layer serves in such a cross-profiled or cross-grooved plastic pipe in particular to promote or support the desired mechanical properties, while through targeted selection of the materials for the outer layer and/or the inner layer of the cross-profiled or cross-grooved plastic pipe, the properties of the plastic pipe
gestellten Forderungen bzgl. Widerstandsfestigkeit gegen aggressive Medien erfüllt werden. The requirements regarding resistance to aggressive media are met.
Since the plastic pipe according to the invention, which has a cross profile or cross groove with the at least two co-extruded layers made of different materials, has excellent vibration resistance, the plastic pipe according to the invention can be used particularly advantageously in vehicle construction. For example, the plastic pipe according to the invention can be used to connect a quasi-stationary part and a vibrating part of a vehicle, i.e. for example, to connect the vibration-producing engine and the quasi-stationary radiator of a vehicle. In addition to this use, there are other applications for the plastic pipe according to the invention in vehicle construction. Of course, the plastic pipe according to the invention is not limited to use in vehicle construction. It can also be used in any other technical and non-technical application areas.
Es zeigt:An embodiment of the plastic pipe according to the invention is shown in the drawing and is described below. It shows:
Fig. 1 eine halbseitig längsgeschnittene Seitenansicht eines Kunststoffrohres mit Querrillung, das in einem mittleren Abschnitt nur durch dünne strichlierte Linien verdeutlicht ist,Fig. 1 is a half-side longitudinal section of a plastic pipe with transverse grooves, which is only shown in a middle section by thin dashed lines,
Fig. 2 eine vergrösserte Darstellung des Details A in Fig. 1 einer ersten Ausführungsform des Kunststoffrohres, undFig. 2 is an enlarged view of detail A in Fig. 1 of a first embodiment of the plastic pipe, and
Fig. 3 is an enlarged detailed view, similar to Fig. 2, of a second embodiment of the plastic pipe.
Fig. 1 shows a plastic pipe 10 which is smooth at its two end sections 12 which are spaced apart from one another and has a transverse profile 14 between the two end sections 12. The transverse profile 14 is designed as transverse grooves which extend around the circumference of the plastic pipe 10. It would of course also be possible for the transverse profile 14 designed as transverse grooves to extend only along part of the circumference of the plastic pipe 10. The plastic pipe 10 has - as can be seen from Fig. 2 - two coextruded layers 16 and 18 made of different plastic materials or - as can be seen from Fig. 3 - an inner layer 16, an outer layer 18 and at least one core layer 20 located between the layers 16 and 18. In a plastic pipe 10, as shown in Fig. 3 on a greatly enlarged scale, two of the layers 16, 18 and 20 can also be made of the same material, for example. The choice of material for layers 16 and 18 or for layers 16, 18 and 20 depends on the area of application for which the corresponding plastic pipe 10 is intended.
