Description

Die Erfindung betrifft Kalander zum Auswalzen von natürlichem und künstlichem Kautschuk sowie von Kunststoffen, insbesondere thermoplastischen Massen, und hat im wesentlichen solche-Kalander zum Gegenstand, welche mit mehreren, z. B. vier in Z-Form angeordneten Walzen ausgerüstet sind. diese bekannten Kalanderausführungen, bei welchen neben einer Festwalze drei verstellbare Walzen derart vorgesehen sind, daß unmittelbar über oder unter einer Festwalze eine zweite verstellbare und neben diesen noch je eine weitere verstellbare Walze angeordnet ist, hatten aber bisher den Nachteil, daß sich abgesehen von dem verwickelten Aufbau und den schwer zugänglichen Bedienungsmitteln die genaue Einstellung der Walzenspalte außerordentlich schwierig und zeitraubend gestaltete. Ein weiterer Nachteil bestand darin, daß das Kalandergestell sehr schwer ausgeführt werden mußte, da die wirksamen Kräfte an langen Hebelarmen angreifen. Ferner bestand der Nachteil, daß die Vorrichtungen zur Weiterbeh!antdlung des kalandrierten Gutes, wie Abzugswalzen, Kühltrommeln und Präge- und Druckwerke, sich sehr schlecht am Kalander anbringen ließen. Dieser Nuchteil ist insofern bedeutsam, als die Ware meistens mit hohen Temperaturen verarbeitet wird und die Weiterbehandlung möglichst dicht hinter den Kalanderwalzen erfolgen muß, um eine zwischenzeitliche Abkühlung zu vermeiden.
