Description

Granular contact material, especially for the rapid ripening of alcoholic Liquids The invention relates to a granular contact material such as in particular for rapid aging (aging) of liquids containing alcohol, for example is used by primate fuel, spirits, perfumes and the like.

According to the invention, this contact material consists of grains relatively hard minerals with a small crystalline structure (marble, quartz or the like) in one size from i to 3 mm 0 as a carrier body, on the surfaces of which there is at least one oligodynamic effective metal, such as B. silver, is fixed, and nvar with particular advantage from grains of this type, on which an oligodynamically effective metal alloy, preferably a silver alloy, is deposited; according to the further invention also from such grains, on the surfaces of which there are two oligodynamically effective Metals, such as silver and gold, are fixed independently of one another.

As particularly effective with glue fast tires (aging) containing alcohol Liquids have been shown to be a granular contact material that consists of two with each other mixed lots. consists of grains, which are in parts with coatings from each other different oligodynamically effective metals or metal alloys are provided, for example one lot with coatings of silver or a silver alloy and a second Lot with coatings of gold or a gold alloy.

Granular contact material according to this invention features a potentiated metal effect on the artificially aging alcoholic liquids through local element formation. Granular contact material1 is produced according to the further invention, in that the grains brought to an elevated temperature into a mixture of a finely ground, adhesive at elevated temperature and in d; he heat volatile matter, such as B. dextrin, rosin, dammar resin or the like., as well as at least one finely ground, which is reduced to metal in the heat Metal compound introduced, circulated together with this for a long time and then be exposed to a temperature at which, on the one hand, the in which now on the grains firmly adhering mixture contained metal compound reduced to metal and on the other hand the adhesive contained therein evaporates. The result is an extraordinary one firm adhesion of the metallic coatings on the individual grains, which these Makes them especially suitable for the purpose they are supposed to serve, and what special is important for a relatively long time.
