Description
In Gi # anät, especially those, -the- tanks penetrate and only then should explode, it is necessary that only the tip glass hardness has, while the rear part. extremely tough. have to be. The course of the optimal Hardness is plotted over a grenade in Fig. Z. The abscissa corresponds to different places of the grenade seen from front to back, while the ordinate indicates the degree of hardness. The curve that shows the desired hardness profile describes first at the top a great hardness, which then gradually towards the rear Part falls off.
In the manufacture of grenades. you proceed as follows today: One brings the whole. Garnet body to the desired height and then leaves the rear part. For tempering, it is used to an increasing extent today; inductive heating because of its well-known. Advantages. However, it has been shown that the hardness curve is not the desired curve a, but the one shown in dashed lines Curve b corresponds to. As can be seen from this curve, one reaches the rear end of the grenades does not reduce the hardness properties sufficiently or. not the one you want Increase in toughness. There is therefore a risk that when the grenade hits For example, the rear part of the shell bursts open on a tank.
To avoid these disadvantages and a course of hardness like him is shown in curve a. to achieve, according to the invention when inductive Magnetic additional bodies are arranged at the rear end of the grenade, which increase the tempering effect on the rear end to the desired extent.
In Fig. 2, an embodiment of the subject invention is shown. The grenade r sits on a holder 2 which is suitably cooled and may be rotatably mounted. can. Around the grenade is the coil 3 arranged, with the help of which currents are induced in the grenade; about warming and thus to achieve a good incentive effect. For the purpose of increasing the tempering effect -on. den.:- rickw-like, part of a magnetic additional body 4 is attached. This can consist of laminated or powdered iron. He will be possible brought close to the grenade so that only a small air gap remains. This air gap results in a corresponding thermal insulation, so that not the heat can migrate from the grenade into the additional body. In addition to the additional body 4 is yet another magnetic additional body 5 is provided, which is used to improve the Field course or the field resistance is used. - In Fig. 3 is a particularly useful one Embodiment of the subject matter of the invention shown. Here are two grenades z and 6 with their backs. housed against each other in a coil 3. the both grenades thus mutually take on the task of additional bodies. To the A magnetic yoke 5 is again provided to improve the field conditions.
The embodiment shown in Figure 3 is particularly suitable for Flow work. You can either insert the two grenades from both sides or, which is usually cheaper, through the coil from one side lead through. The work process is best designed as follows: First you lead the two grenades that are butting against each other with their backsides with the help of suitable rails or the like. -in the induction coil. Then take care man-for very quick heating to tempering temperature. You then remove the two grenades from the spool to the other side and hold them here for a while, to achieve the desired relief effect. The last step is then Cooling, for which the grenades are placed in a suitable cooling vessel or another Suspends cooling effect.
In this process, it proves to be particularly advantageous that automatic adjustment of the two grenades due to the magnetic tensile forces occurs inside the induction coil.
