Dabei dient die bekannte Vorrichtung dazu, das für zwei Personen ausgelegte Motorrad für nur eine Person besser nutzbar zu machen. Durch Aufsetzen der Vorrichtung auf die hintere Sitzfläche der Doppelsitzbank geht zwar ein für die Benutzung durch nur eine Person nicht benötigter Sitzplatz verloren, die aerodynamischen Eigenschaften des Motorrades werden jedoch verbessert. Vor allem dient diese bekannte Vorrichtung auch als zusätzliche Rückenstütze für den Fahrer , wozu an der dem Fahrer zugewandten Seite der Vorrichtung ein Rückenpolster vorgesehen ist.Such a device is known (brochure Kl, page ':, 9/89 of the company BMW Motorrad GmbH & Co., Munich).
