The aim of the invention is to create a clean room by separating or dividing at least one "normal" room in a building, consisting of a passageway around the " conference room" and the clean room.
The ongoing developments in the fields of technology, pharmacy and chemistry require special clean rooms for examinations and production and make strict requirements necessary to prevent particles from entering sensitive clean room areas. Contamination with particles should either only occur in a controlled manner or not occur at all. The relevant guidelines define cleanliness classes that specify the particles per volume depending on their number and size. In the frequently required clean room class 1000, no more than 1000 particles may be contained in one liter of clean room air, while outside air, for example, can contain up to 70,000 particles per liter. These particles mainly include suspended matter and dust.
Der zwischenIn an industrial building complex, clean rooms exist as independent components alongside other "normal" rooms. In order to get from a "normal" room to a clean room and vice versa, a special passage is arranged between them, which is designed as a lock. This passage has an outer door and an inner door. The
• · t ·· t ·
The area of the passage located between the outer door and the inner door is exposed to a flow of clean room air. If, for example, a person wants to get from a "normal " room into the clean room, he or she first goes through the outer door. In the passage, the person is surrounded by flowing clean room air and only opens the inner door after a predetermined period of time in order to get into the clean room.
With such a known device, turbulence can occur when the inner door is opened, which can result in harmful particles entering the clean room. In addition, the passageway with two doors is fundamentally an obstacle to the continuous passage of people and material.
The innovation is therefore based on the task of demonstrating a device for creating a clean room by separating or dividing it from at least one "normal" room in a building, which on the one hand allows a continuous passage of people and material and on the other hand does not cause the turbulence caused by opening doors and the associated entry of particles. A clean room within normal rooms should be freely accessible without being contaminated from the environment.
To solve this problem, it is proposed in a device of the type described above that the passage or opening is completely ventilated and has at least one layer of air flowing over the entire cross section of the passage or opening with a temperature that differs from the room air in the clean room and an air speed that differs from the air flow in the clean room.
This design creates a vertical thermal separation layer that separates the clean room air from the outside air in a similar way to how it occurs in nature in the inversion weather conditions frequently observed in winter with the associated "smog 11 ", but rotated by 90°. A warm layer of air and a cold layer of air touch each other without a temperature equalization taking place with the associated exchange of gases or dust. The flowing air layer or thermal separation layer prevents particles from entering the clean room and reliably prevents contamination of the clean room.
Further features of a device according to the innovation are disclosed in claims 2-12.
The innovation is explained in more detail below using an embodiment shown in a drawing.
This drawing shows a clean room 1 in a simplified manner, in the ceiling area of which air filters 2 are arranged. Air heated by the air filters 2 at a temperature of, for example, 24°C and a speed of about 0.45 m/s 1 is blown into the clean room 1 by an air conditioning system via lines 3. The air filters 4 are designed in such a way that a low-turbulence displacement flow, which is also called "laminar flow", is created. The clean room air is sucked out by a fan 5 via a line 6 through a perforated clean room floor 4. From the fan 5, this air then returns to the lines 3, for example via a heating device 7. If necessary, volume flow regulators 8 can be used in the lines 3.
In the area of an only indicated entrance 9 of the clean air room 1 there is a passage 10 that connects the clean room 1 with a "normal" room or an outside room. This passage 10 has, for example, a height of 2.5 m, a width of 1.2 m and a length or depth of 1.2 m. In the lower area of the passage 10 there is also a perforated floor 11 that is connected to another air conditioning system 13 via a line 12. The air conditioning system 13 in turn opens above the passage 10 into a filter 14 that extends over the entire width of the passage 10 and has an outlet opening of 1.2 m x approximately 0.25 m. Via this filter 14, the air conditioning system 13 generates a cold or warm air curtain or a flowing air layer 15 in the passage 10, the thickness of which is approximately 0.25 m. The temperature of this air layer 15 is lower or higher than the temperature of the clean room air. The flow speed of the air layer is approximately 1.5 m/sec. and is thus higher than that of the air in the clean room 1.
During the tests carried out, it was found that the air layer 15 flowing out of the filter 14 remains stable all the way to the ground. However, this presupposes that the air layer 15 has a uniform speed over its entire thickness.
Die nach unten strömende Luftschicht 15 wird nach unten in Richtung auf die Außenluft geringfügig abgelenkt, wobei durch überschüssige Reinraumluft im unteren Bereich des Einganges 9 ein Keil 16 gebildet wird, der zur Stabilität der strömenden Luftschicht 15 und zur Einhaltung der ReinhaltsklasseThe downward-flowing air layer 15 is slightly deflected downwards towards the outside air, whereby a wedge 16 is formed by excess clean room air in the lower area of the inlet 9, which contributes to the stability of the flowing air layer 15 and to compliance with the cleanliness class
dient. The drawing also shows that the flowing air layer in its lower area mixes slightly with the adjacent edge areas.
When evaluating the measurement results regarding particle detection, it was found that there is a clear separation effect between the outside air (around 70,000 particles) and the clean air (0 - 652 particles), thus preventing particles from entering the clean room. The street clothes worn in the test in the clean room resulted in a particle count of 652 in the middle, lower area of the clean room. This was deliberately created in order to get a measure of the particle extraction. If people passing through are wearing clean room clothing or the material being passed through has been pre-cleaned, particle entry at this level can of course no longer occur.
In a modification of the embodiment described, it is possible for the air layer 15 to flow from bottom to top. However, the same separating effect occurs. Furthermore, the passage 10 can be designed to be lower than the height of the clean room 1. This is particularly the case if the passage 10 is designed as a so-called pass-through. If necessary, the flowing air layer 15 can be provided twice, for example at the beginning and at the end of the passage 10.
