Besonderer Werth ist auf die absolut staubdichte Abschliefsung der Einlaufkammer M (so genannt nach dem Einlaufrohr N), der Mehlabtheilung L, der Griesabtheilung K und der Ueberschlagabtheilungy'gelegt. Die Abschliefsung wird dadurch erreicht, dafs der eiserne Ring k, welcher durch die Federn m, Fig. 4, gehalten wird, den Ring i (welcher aus Filz, Leder oder ähnlichem Material besteht) an die genau abgedrehte Fläche 0, Fig. 7, mit genügendem Druck anprefst; der Ring k ist mit der hölzernen Zwischenwand υ durch den aus dünnem Leder hergestellten Ring h abgeschlossen.
