Description
Mirror finder for photographic cameras It has already been proposed been to use for photographic cameras viewfinder that, .to a flat Combine container: can be folded, contain a saddle-shaped mirror surface. Such seekers are known in the art as Sellar searchers. Such mirror surfaces have the advantage that they are rare and correct in height without any further optical aids Result in the viewfinder image. -They are relatively difficult to manufacture and expensive, because the saddle-shaped surface is a section of a convex conical surface forms and the curvatures of the lateral surface, which are stronger towards the tip of the cone must be calculated in such a way that the mirror is realistic and free of distortion Image results. Since such, long-known viewfinder only simple folding mechanisms had, they have not been introduced and are in the previously known form not suitable for modern photographic cameras.
The invention improves searchers of this type in that they can be used for Vertical and transverse shots designed to be convertible and also provided with facilities that ensure accurate parallax compensation when used on the camera and that, in addition, according to the invention, they are designed in such a way that they can be adjusted in particular are that they are easily used with respect to parallax compensation to the respective Camera type and at which a special fastening point can be attached.
According to the invention these features are achieved in that the saddle-shaped Mirror surface adjustable to Parallaxausglei.ch and a balancing effect Versbellteil for the purpose of using the viewfinder on different cameras or on Cameras is interchangeable with different viewfinder mounting locations. The equalization The effecting part of the supply, which can be referred to as a »type plate«, is included. preferably from a disc provided with a wedge surface. When printing on .this Wedge surface tilts: the disk around one axis, the one through two on it Support projections is formed, and it also causes the mirror to tilt, The support projections of the disc are in a vertically superimposed position of the Optical axes of viewfinder and camera symmetrical: on. the disc arranged. If the optical axes are laterally offset to one another, however, they are of this type attached asymmetrically. that the parallax compensation movement of the mirror always takes place towards the optical axis of the camera. So if #the viewfinder, for example -off-center- is attached to the camera, is appropriately asymmetrical Arrangement of the support projections and the resulting> 'inclined position of the tilt axis achieves that the optical axis of the viewfinder is the optical in every tilt position The axis of the camera intersects. So it is possible to find the same viewfinder by simple Exchange this type sheet, i.e. the disk with the wedge surface and the support projections adapt to each camera. For cameras that are not too far off-center Fastening means, e.g. B. a finder shoe arranged to the side of the range finder, you can adjust the Aufsteckfuß the viewfinder to arrange it so that it is through this setting is possible, the optical axes of the viewfinder and camera anyway to bring on top of each other, although the attachment between viewfinder and camera itself has an unbalanced position.
Because the type disc against rotation when acting on its wedge surface must be protected, it is provided with a locking means. A section serve in the. a locking pin engages that prevents their rotation, but theirs Allows tilting movement. The tilting of the disc is generally carried out by means of a button on the viewfinder housing located rotatable adjustment member causes the one against the viewfinder interior protruding cam presses on the wedge surface of the disc.
Around the viewfinder attached to the camera for both portrait and landscape shots To be able to use it, it is designed to be rotatable by 90 °. A cheap design is to provide a rotatable mirror holder for this purpose, the one mentioned with dien Type disc is tiltable together. This has the advantage that it is part of the possibility of the parallax adjustment does not change anything, neither in the position for portrait nor for landscape photography.
The mirror holder is expediently attached by means of an axis. a plate held and when rotating on her directly or indirectly, for example by a compression spring; guided, this plate itself, for its part, preferably pivotable; connected to the viewfinder housing. is. The rotatable mirror holder also comes with a To provide locking device, which its rotational extent to a right angle, d. H. from the portrait to the bank position or vice versa, limited. This can also be done by A correspondingly long cutout can be achieved in dorr mirror holder in Iden the same locking pin engages that also prevents rotation of the aforementioned type plate secures.
In addition to the mirror, there is preferably another one on the mirror holder Attached to the frame that delimits the viewfinder image. The collapsible Training of the viewfinder, accordingly the frame can be swiveled against the mirror, so .that it covers the mirror surface in the closed position. It contains the usual Aids, e.g. B. an alignment mark in, shape of a. Finder cross with a central hole or. dgL. The mirror surface itself also expediently shows an alignment mark, e.g. B. a Point, so that by bringing these aligning means between frame and mirror in alignment adjustment is facilitated.
Since the viewfinder is folded up into the position of use, the exact The position of the parts in relation to one another is the mirror holder, mirror and picture frame according to a further training of the invention by their position of use securing handlebars connected with each other. This has the advantage that the otherwise usual viewfinders simple limit stops, which are caused by the spring-loaded abrupt Open the viewfinder quickly wear out., In failure to come. In the same way are also bottom and cover part of the viewfinder housing, miteinandic,: r connected so that their exact right-angled position is secured in the open position.

In the case of. i viewfinder shown is articulated on a box-shaped bottom part i with side walls 2 by means of an axis 3, a cover 4 serving as a rear viewfinder wall. A spring 5 surrounding the axis 3 seeks to bring the bath and cover part into the unfolded position, that is to say at right angles to one another. This position is secured by two lateral links 6 which limit the opening angle when the viewfinder is opened and which can be moved around the rivets 7 and 8. The rivet 8 slides in a slot 9 of the handlebars 6 when it is folded up. The lid-shaped search retainer wall 4 is provided with a recess io in which a disc 12 which can be rotated about this rivet is fastened with a rivet i i. This disc has two knurled buttons 13 as a handle. A cam-shaped projection 14 is attached to the disc 12, which protrudes into the interior of the viewfinder and passes through a kidney-shaped slot in the rear wall so that the disc can be rotated. On the disc 12, visible to the outside, are distance marks, z. B. for im bis co, attached to an unsigned mark located on the rear wall of the viewfinder: mark can be set. Just like the rear wall of the viewfinder 4, an elongated plate 15 can be pivoted about the axis 3, which is also continuously driven into the open position by a spring 16 surrounding the axis 3, ie is pressed against the rear wall of the viewfinder. The spring 16 rests with one end against a pin 17 fastened in the bottom of the viewfinder and with its other hook-shaped end 18 rests against the edge of the plate 15. This plate 15 (FIG. 4) has two right-angled bends ig, in which eyes 20 are located which encompass the axis 3. In the upper part, the plate 15 is cranked so .that it protrudes slightly to one side. A recess 22 made in this part surrounds an opening 23. Below the crank 21, two kidney-shaped openings 24 are arranged in the plate. A pin 25 projecting to one side from the plate is fastened between them. The opening 23 of the plate 15 is penetrated by a bolt consisting of a screw 26 and a nut 27. By means of this bolt, a multi-leg compression spring 2-8, a disk 29 and a plate-shaped holder 30 for .den mirror are attached to the plate 15, d.ass the outer mirror holder 30 and the plate 15 by the pressure -the spring 28 against the outer collars 31 and 32 of the screw 26 and% lining 27 are pressed and kept parallel. The round disc 29 (Fig. 3) has a hole 33 in the middle for the passage of the nut 27. This hole partially surrounds an expression which forms an inclined wedge surface 34 with which the cam 14 of the disc 12 come into contact can. The edge of the disk 2'9 is provided with four small nut cuts 35. Between every two of these @ '#, ussclinittees there are pointed projections 36 which are bent up at right angles to the same side of the disk 29 on which the wedge surface 34 rises. Below the hole 33 there is another edge cutout 37 through which the pin 25 of the plate 15 extends. The mirror holder 30 (FIG. 5) has lateral edge strips 38, a vertex 39 in which the disk 29 rests, and a lower semicircular projection 40. In the middle of the recess 39 there is a hole 41 for the nut 27 to pass through The projection 4.o is cut out at 42 a little over a quarter circle. The pin 25 of the plate 15 engages in this cutout. The mirror holder 30 can therefore be rotated around the nut 27 by a right angle. This angular movement is limited by the pin 25. The position of the pin (25 is indicated by dashed lines in FIG. 5 in the end positions. In the edge strips 38 of the mirror holder 30 there are two holes 43, 44 on both sides which is pivotable by the mirror 46 and a picture framing frame 47. A link 48 is pivoted in the lower holes 44 by means of rivets 4g, the other end is connected by a bolt 5o to a further link 51, which the latter engages on the picture framing frame 47 by means of a rivet 52 The bolt 50 engages in an elongated slot 53 of the mirror, thus limiting its movement and securing its position. The axis 45 is surrounded by a spring 54, one end of which rests against the picture frame 47 and the other end of which rests against the rear wall of the viewfinder4 As a result, the spring 54 constantly seeks to bring the mirror and the frame 47 into the position of use eisten 146 are arranged, in which the slots 53 are located. The picture frame 47 (FIG. 6) consists of a sheet metal with lateral edge strips 55 in which the eyes 56 are located, which encompass the axis 45. The upper surface of the frame 47 is punched out so that a finder cross 57 is formed. In the middle of the cross there is an opening 58 through which one can see and which is marked with a mark on the mirror, not shown in the drawing, e.g. B. a point is brought to congruence. Under the viewfinder is a fastening means known per se; z. B. a Aufsteckfuß 59 attached, which enables the attachment of the viewfinder to a camera and is adjustable in the direction perpendicular to the plane of the drawing by means of two consecutive screws 6o to be attached.
In Fig. 7 the viewfinder is exactly in the middle of the camera 61, i.e. in the middle of the camera 61. H. above the optical axis, on --.-. Is done by the dashed line Wedge surface 34 tilts the mirror forward, d. H. out of the picture plane, so this Kippurig happens around the symmetrically arranged projections 36, that is around the dashed horizontal axis. Is the viewfinder off-center (like 8 and 9), a washer 29 is used to which the projections 36 so unbalanced are arranged that the dashed lines ideal tilt axis is inclined to camera 61. This ensures that the. optical The axis of the mirror always intersects the optical axis of the camera when tilted, i.e. exact parallax compensation is achieved.
The way the viewfinder works is as follows: When, the viewfinder is closed is, so forms a flat container, to open it becomes a non-drawn one Container lock released. The pressure of the springs 5, 16 and 54 is the. Viewfinder automatically brought into use position, d. H. the rear wall 4 of the viewfinder pops up, the mirror goes in 45 ° position, and the picture frame 47 takes over .die horizontal position. In this position shown in Fig. I, the viewfinder has the Setting to infinity. When taking close-ups, it should be based on the distance If a parallax compensation is made, the disk 12 .by means of the buttons 13 rotated according to the distance information on the disc. Included the cam 14 moves against the inclined wedge surface 34 of the disk 29. The disk 29 cannot rotate with it because the pin 25 engages in its edge cutout 37. The disk 29 is thus by .the pressure of the cam 14: the wedge surface around the Projections 36 mppt: which are supported against the rear wall 4 of the viewfinder. As the spring 28 .the disk 29 presses against the mirror holder 30, this holder is also turned over tilted the same angle. All parts have so much play in their the mother surrounding openings, .that this tilting is possible without hindrance. Because the mirror 46 and the picture delimitation frame 47 are attached to the holder 30, so is the forced tilting is also transferred to the parts and thus the parallax compensation brought about. Should: the camera be used to take a high exposure, with the If the camera is rotated, the viewfinder on the camera must also be rotated in the same way that a view from above is possible. For this purpose the picture bounding box 47 and mirror 46 only rotated through a right angle. The two parts So lead with their holder 30, on .dem they are attached, a rotation to .die Mother 27 off. This is possible because the holder 30 has the correspondingly long edge cutout 42 and the pin 2 @ 5 engaging in it has this rotation on an angular movement limited by 9o °. In this case, too, the disk 29 cannot rotate, Since the cutout 37 in it only corresponds to the diameter of the pin 25. Independent on the position of the mirror, whether it is a portrait or landscape position of the camera and thus: the viewfinder acts, is the parallax compensation actuation and effect the same.
