Description
Die schweren Elektroden bei Lichtbogenöfen werden meist von kräftigen Tragarmen getragen, die sich an dem Ofengestell oder einem besonderen Ofenjoch abstützen. Die Ausbildung dieser Tragarme bereitet deshalb Schwierigkeiten, weil die Spulen sehr heiß werden und die Tragarme gekühlt «-erden müssen. Im allgemeinen wird die. Kühlung auf die Weise erreicht, daß man den Tragarm aus zwei konzentrischen Rohren aufbaut, wobei der Zwischenraum von einem Kühlmittel, meistens Wasser, durchflossen ist.
