Description
Die schlimmsten Folgen dieser Entwicklung liegen aber in der Verlagerung des gesamten Fußmechanismus des Pferdes und insbesondere der Überdehnung der die Knochen zusammenhaltenden undAnomalous development of the horn capsule in hooves, especially horses, then gradually occurs on when the horses are shod with horseshoes in the usual manner and essentially work on hard, firm ground and cobbled streets, especially in cities have to. Under these working conditions it is not only the elasticity of the hooves that withers away due to the fact that the hornbeam cushion no longer touches the ground, but a gradual one Work off the rear parts of the horn capsule on the hoof. The horseshoe lies on the sole of the hoof at this point, the so-called costume walls, do not stick firmly, as the horseshoe nails are hammered in is only possible on the front part of the horn sole. So there is constant friction when walking between the horseshoe and the sole of the horn at the height of the heel walls, making them run in one the natural horn growth to be abraded. The consequence of this is that the toe parts on the hoof grow stronger and a gradual stretching of the individual foot bones occurs forward with very disadvantageous consequences to be described later. This development can to a certain extent by more extensive trimming of the front horn parts when Shoeing can be controlled. But if the walls of the costume are so strongly drained that that still existing horn pads can no longer be further reduced by pruning, occur without further anomalous deformations that have now become too weak to transfer the load Walls of traditional costumes open up, and the horn beam cushion is also severely affected. The worst consequences of this development, however, are the relocation of the entire foot mechanism of the horse and especially the overstretching of the bones holding together and
These appearances ultimately cause the Dreaded hoof roll inflammation, also known as navicular lameness, which up to now was no longer curable so that horses affected by it had to be disposed of.
The invention creates horseshoe inserts that can be restored even in such hitherto hopeless cases the natural functions of the feet ίο enable. The hoof insert according to the invention consists from a soft elastic body that can be moved freely directly or indirectly on the hoof is held and after straightening the horn sole flat to the ground opposite the horn beam cushion the tread is supported. The straightening of the horn sole in all directions is done by placing shock-absorbing, wedge-shaped pads between the horn sole and the horseshoe. Of the soft elastic support body for the horn beam cushion opposite the floor is inside the Horn capsule freely movable either between the horseshoe and the wedge-shaped base or between the latter and the horn sole held. The wedge-shaped ones provided for straightening the horn sole and shock-absorbing pads are laterally limited analogous to the course of the horn rim. They can be provided separately for the inside and outside of the respective foot to be or to be related. In the latter case, the connection of the documents appropriately provided at the level of the horn beam cushion and can then in a corresponding Recess as a guide or holder for the flexible support body of the horn beam cushion serve opposite the performance surface.
The surface of the flexible support body that comes to rest on the floor expediently protrudes when installing a little over the lower edge of the horseshoe and is finished with a support Hard rubber provided in order to counteract a too rapid wear of the soft elastic support body to act. The soft elastic support body itself can be made of sponge or foam rubber or another sufficiently flexible material. Lateral ones are useful Flaps are provided with which the direct or indirect attachment to the horn capsule takes place. It is essential that the intrinsic mobility of the flexible support body by the Bracket is not adversely affected.

For a better understanding of the essence of the invention, let us first briefly refer to the structure of the Limbs of the horse's foot received. As Fig. Ι and 2 show, the metatarsal is supported 1 with the sesame or the same leg 2 down on the fetlock 3, then the coronet 4 follows and the hoof leg 5. The latter merges into the hoof or the horn capsule 6. The sequence of movements is carried out by a series of tendons, muscles and elastic ligaments that are attached to the feet by the Damping the ground shock. For the consideration of the subject matter of the invention is essentially the toe extensor tendon 7 and the corolla flexor tendon 8. The hoof itself is made of horn, the so-called horn beam cushion 9 is able to work somewhat elastically in itself. Just because of that a certain shock-absorbing effect is achieved. Because it takes into account the possible application it is necessary for the horse to work, the hoofs are provided with horseshoes, the sole of the hoof becomes 10 shod with iron. These horseshoes can only be attached to the front part of the hoof along the so-called attached to the white line. At the level of the lateral costume walls 11 is a fastening not possible, so that there is constant friction between the horseshoe and the sole of the horn at the foot 10 takes place. So horn is constantly being rubbed off on these parts, in one that natural horn growth exceeding extent. Gradually, as shown in Fig. 2, the horn parts at the level of the costume walls 11 are heavily processed. This has the consequence that gradually stretch the foot bones more and more forward so that the metatarsal 1 with his sesame or same leg 2, the fetlock bone 3, the corolla bone 4 and the coffin bone 5 finally in the anomalous situation shown in Fig. 2 come. The extensor tendon 7 and in particular the coffin flexor tendon 8 are severely overstretched and pulled. Of particular importance is the The fact that the navicular bone or the hoof roller 12 lying under the corolla 4 is so deep receives that the coffin flexor tendon 8 is strongly pressed or stretched because it is then no longer in the The bone furrow intended for them runs, but extends to the sharp bone edge on the navicular bone 12 painfully moved. In addition, the beam cushion 9 is so unfavorably displaced that it is his Can no longer exercise functions in any way. The visible painful expressions' these abnormal situation is sparing and finally the so-called roll inflammation or navicular lameness. Once this state has occurred, there has been no possibility of a cure until now given. Horses with such abnormal foot bones and hoof formations came in handy because of them complete lameness and constant pain in the foot no longer able to work and had to be dismissed.
Als Voraussetzung für den Erfolg wird der Huf zunächst durch Unterbauen von keilförmigen und möglichst stoßdämpfenden Unterlagen 13 in die natürliche Lage zum Boden nach allen RichtungenThe action of the hoof insert according to the invention is shown schematically in FIG. as The prerequisite for the success of the hoof is first of all by building up wedge-shaped and possible shock-absorbing pads 13 in the natural position to the ground in all directions
gezwungen. If this is achieved, the hoof, together with the pads 13, is in the usual Way shod with a horseshoe 14. After the After the normal position of the bones of the foot has been restored, care must now be taken be worn that even the overstretched and distorted tendons and ligaments, in particular the coffin flexor tendon 8 can work normally again. The flexible body 15 is used for this purpose. This body 15 has a supporting effect on the horn beam cushion 9 and in the direction of the arrow indirectly thus also holds the navicular bone 12 and the coffin bone flexor tendon 8 in the normal position natural location. In this way, through the interaction of the straight position the hoof sole with a soft elastic support of the navicular pad 9 on the enforcement or restoration of the natural position of all parts of the horse's foot. In this way, deformations that were previously irreparable can also be remedied, see above that even horses suffering from inflammation of the hoof rolls or navicular lameness with the aid of the invention Hoof insert can be healed again. The by the hoof insert according to the invention The normalization of the foot shape achieved is shown in dash-dotted line in FIG and in this respect corresponds to the scheme shown in FIG. 3.
In Fig. 4 is a hoof insert according to the invention provided horsefoot shown. On the horn capsule 6, the horn sole 10 is first through brought two superimposed wedge-shaped pads 13 in the normal position to the ground. It is it is possible that depending on the displacement at hand along the two side walls different high wedges have to be built under if the hoof is inclined inwards or outwards, i.e. not only to the front, but also to the side is not properly aligned. The soft elastic body 15 for the support of the horn beam cushion 9 is in the horn capsule cavity between the wedge-shaped Support bodies 13 or the horseshoe 14 can move freely installed, in such a way that the floor tread surface to reduce wear with a thin, relatively hard, wear-resistant pad 16 made of still elastic Material, such as hard rubber, is provided. In the exemplary embodiment are on the flexible body laterally two tabs are provided which grip between the wedges 13 and so opposite the horn are specially held.
