Die dazwischen befindlichen Zähne und Zahnlücken allmählich steigender Breite, wie sie aus Fig. i ersichtlich sind, sind in den Abwicklungen nach Fig. 2 und 3 der Deutlichkeit halber weggelassen. Die Zähne i und 3 bzw. 21 und 22 sind dabei paarweise differentiell geteilt, so daß jeweils die V olumina der Zähne z, 3, 2i den Volumina der entsprechenden Zahnlücken 4, 2 bzw. 22. entsprechen. Durch diese gleichmäßige Volumenverteilung können genau runde Werkstücke im KaltwaIzverfahren oder auch im Ziehverfahren erzeugt werden, wenn,die Werkzeuge eine ebensolche Differentialteilung erhalten wie das Werkstück. Es ist lediglich eine Frage der Berechnung, wie die paarweise differential geteilten Zähne so über den Umfang zu verteilen sind, @daß sie in dem gewünschten Abstand aufgehen.
