Description
Automatic coupling for rail vehicles, in particular - for light rail vehicles A number of automatic clutches for rail vehicles are known. However, these either have the disadvantage that they are in their structure and in their construction are too complicated and therefore could not find their way into practice or that they are built simply, but simplicity at the expense of mobility of the couplings against each other across the direction of travel has been bought.
There are now rail vehicles, especially light railways and related railways, operating conditions, poor track position and the like, where one great transverse displacement of the couplings in relation to one another in the coupled state and is necessary while driving. So far, these conditions have always been met still best the normal coupling by chains or by one in both opposite Coupling parts held coupling rod. However, these clutches are not automatic insofar as during the coupling process, the coupling chains over the bolts of the other Coupling hung or the coupling rod of one coupling by hand in the opening the other coupling are introduced and locked there, also by hand must become.
The advantage of the chains b.zw. the rod coupling in operational Respect can be achieved if you have a coupling according to the proposal of the invention builds. The coupling according to the invention is shown in Figs. I to q. for example shown.
The coupling consists of a funnel-shaped coupling housing a, that at the same time as a buffer can be trained. In this case a coupling bolt b is installed, which can be positioned vertically or approximately vertically Direction is guided movable. The connection of two opposing coupling parts happens through a coupling rod c, which with the coupling bolt of each coupling part is engaged.
In the illustrated coupling, the coupling rod c is on the two Ends with a large opening d, similar to a chain link :, into which the Coupling bolt engages and this against the. Kraftzug holds on. During the coupling process happens (the lifting of the bolt b automatically -by that -this on the outside the coupling facing side is beveled, so that .in the funnel of the Coupling housing -infeed coupling rod c is able to lift the coupling bolt b. When the coupling bolt runs through the opening in the coupling rod, the bolt falls by virtue of its weight in this and thus establishes the coupling connection.
The coupling rod c is a loose part and would rest on the lower funnel wall in the disengaged state without special measures. When the vehicles run up against each other, they could then not hit the funnel of the counter-coupling: According to the invention, the coupling rod c is held in the disengaged state by a pressure piece e in a central position, so that the coupling rod when running into the funnel of the counter-coupling in any case. is introduced: In order to be able to hold the coupling rod c in this position, it is provided in the illustrated case on its side facing the pressure piece e with an extension f which engages under the pressure piece e. The pressure piece e itself is movably mounted so that it can follow movements of the dome rods c upwards and downwards and to the left and right without hindrance. When the coupling rod is free, the pressure piece e is guided by spring force or weight or by means of other energy accumulators in such a way that the latter always peeks out centrally from the coupling funnel.
In order to achieve this, the pressure piece e is guided behind the coupling bolt in a plane that is approximately perpendicular to the axis of the coupling in a slot or slide guide or also in a curved segment guide with a sufficiently large-cm radius. In the case shown, the pressure piece e is guided in a slide guide perpendicular to the axis of the coupling. Furthermore, the pressure piece e is designed in the middle in an open arc-shaped manner, as shown in Fig. 3. The extension f - of the coupling rod c, which here must be thought to be perpendicular to the plane of the paper, engages in this arc. The pressure piece e is on each side with one. Bolt g is stored in a socket i in the 'housing and is pulled down by a tension spring bz. In the rest position, the arcuate cutout thus holds the coupling rod c in a central position by virtue of the spring force. If the coupling rod is dislocated sideways during operation, the extension of the coupling rod c moves the pressure piece e upwards or diagonally upwards by z. B. raises one bolt from its bearing socket i against the spring force. Such a situation is in A, bb. 3 shown in dashed lines. The same function can be achieved if the pressure piece e is not made from x parts, but from ä parts, which are arranged according to Fig. 4 and denoted by k and are each held down by a spring. In the event of the coupling rod dislocating, the individual parts of the pressure piece will deflect, following the directions of the arrows. In this embodiment it is also possible, instead of two springs, to use one which is attached to each of the two parts and pulls these two parts together.
Except for the arrangement of the pressure piece e behind the coupling bolt b and The arrangement in front of the coupling bolt is above the extension of the coupling rod e b and below the coupling rod c possible.
