Description

Casting mold for the manufacture of ceramic bodies Die in, the ceramic Usual casting molds are made of plaster of paris and need to be water-absorbent to keep drying again and again in order to enable quick production be subjected. As a result of their low resistance to temperature changes the plaster molds have a relatively short lifespan. It turns out to be a large gypsum requirement, which has a very negative effect on the economy of production.

According to the invention, an improvement in such casting molds is achieved in that they are made from plaster of paris and hamotte. The mold expediently consists of 401 / o plaster and '6o' / o firebrick flour. Such casting molds have an increased suction speed compared to the pure plaster molds. Also, because of their better temperature resistance, the service life is significantly higher while the quality of the castings remains the same. Since fireclay flour is a waste product in ceramic companies, the economic efficiency of the new casting molds compared to pure plaster molds is very considerable. A large amount of plaster of paris can be saved. The new mold has a loading pointing improved thermal shock resistance and can thus Gchneller at higher-tempera-ren dried who-the. The mechanical strength is also higher compared to pure plaster molds, so that e.g. B. keep sharp-edged notches and depressions significantly longer. The new compound can also be used to produce drying pads (in the form of plates) for ceramic bodies.
