Container for holding small items

The invention relates to a container for small objects with detachably inserted corner profiles as a connection between adjacent side walls at an angle to one another and/or as an extension profile between adjacent side walls arranged in one plane.

Closed containers, i.e. smaller containers for holding smaller objects, generally have firmly joined side walls, a hinged or removable lid and a base connected to the side walls. The side walls and the base are rigidly connected to one another.

Such containers are very bulky for storage and transport . Due to the fixed connections, the side walls cannot be extended and therefore the container cannot be made larger.

(or) can be dismantled or extended again, whereby these profiles are easy to manufacture and the containers are easy to assemble.

According to the invention, this object is achieved in a container of the aforementioned type in that the side walls, which are at an angle to one another, are connected to one another in their corner areas by means of connecting profiles in the form of strip-shaped angular C-profiles and the front edges of the side walls are equipped with T-shaped profiles which fit into the T-shaped recesses of the angular C-profiles.

Such strip-shaped connecting profiles allow side walls of any length to be rigidly connected to one another at an angle, whereby these connecting profiles increase the bending strength of the side walls and thus also the strength of the container.

These C-profiles are preferably made from plastic as rod profiles (extruded profiles), which can then be cut to the appropriate length for the respective height of the container.

These profiles, in the form of square strips, have flat outer surfaces that adapt to the side walls of the container.

In a preferred embodiment of such a strip-shaped corner profile, the outer middle (longer) web of one C-profile is flush with a

shorter outer leg of the adjacent C-profile, whereby the T-shaped recesses of the two interlocking C-profiles are connected in one piece at right angles to each other.

In a further preferred embodiment of the invention, two C-shaped connecting profiles are arranged next to one another in one piece in order to extend side walls (to enlarge the container) in their plane, the T-shaped recesses of which open to opposite sides, into which the T-shaped profiles are also inserted on the opposite front edges of the adjacent side walls, thus securing them against one another in one plane. The angular C-profiles are thus mirror images of one another.

The protection extends not only to the individual features, but also to their combination.

A container with a rectangular or square cross-section, for example, is characterized by several, but at least four, vertically extending side walls 10, which are easily detachably fastened to one another in the corner areas by means of specially designed connecting profiles 11 or in the extension areas with likewise specially designed connecting profiles 12.

A base I3 from below and a lid I ¹ I from above can close the container accordingly.

The connecting profile 11, designed as a strip-shaped corner profile, has two adjacent (nesting) angular C-profiles 11a, 11b in one piece, which are at right angles to each other. The long side not slotted by the T-shaped recess lic (as the web of one C-profile 11a) merges flush with the smaller long side (as the leg of the other C-profile 11b). The T-shaped recess 11d points away from the C-profile 11a with its opening, i.e. the two T-shaped recesses are accordingly spaced perpendicularly to each other.

This results in a connecting profile 11 that does not protrude outwards, in which T-shaped profile ends 10a, which are formed in one piece with the side walls 10, each engage in a T-shaped recess lic and lld. The long web of the C-profile lla forms a long corner surface, while the leg lla forms a short corner surface of the corner connection.

If the container is to be limited in cross-section by only four side walls 10, only the remaining three bar-shaped connecting profiles 11 and the adjacent side walls 10 are joined together.

However, if a larger (longer) container is required, connecting profiles 12 lying next to each other are used to extend the container instead of two connecting profiles 11 that are not diagonally opposite one another. These connecting profiles 12 set

also consists of two square C-profiles 12a connected to one another in one piece, in such a way that the two T-shaped recesses 12b point in the longitudinal direction of the container and are arranged as a mirror image of one another.

Each container can be extended as desired using strip-shaped connecting profiles 12. The T-shaped profile ends 10a of the side walls 10 only need to be arranged or inserted into the T-shaped recesses 12b of the connecting profiles 12, whereby the connecting profiles 11 form the corner-shaped end of the container.

The T-shaped edge strips (profile ends 10a) are firmly molded onto side walls made of plastic, for example. For side walls made of wood or wood-based materials, these T-shaped profiles can also be manufactured as separate strips and then attached to the vertical front sides of the side walls using screws or similar.

Lying on the same aforementioned center line, a feather key l8 is connected - close to the front, flush with the circular face of the bearing pin 17 - which is connected to the top of the latter, facing away from the inner base surface, in one piece with it over part of the length of the bearing pin.

A clamping hook 19 which reaches through each clamping opening 16 and is mounted on a c-sm bearing pin 17 by means of a one-piece bearing ring 20 detachably connects the base 13 to the side walls 10.

For this purpose, the bearing ring 20 has an inner bore 21, the inner diameter of which is slightly larger than the outer diameter of the bearing pin 17. A groove 23 pointing from the inside of the bore 21 to the hook part 22 enables the bearing ring 20 of the clamping hook 19 to be slipped over the bearing pin 17 with the key 18. If the circular end face of the bearing ring 20 pointing away from the inner side wall surface is slightly behind the end face of the key 18 pointing towards the inner surface of the side wall IC, the entire clamping hook 19 can be pivoted radially until the hook part 22 reaches through the clamping opening 16. The key 18 thus prevents an axial displacement of the entire clamping hook 19 on the bearing pin 17.

The lid 14 can have locking lugs 24 on the vertically running inner side of its edge area, which engage in locking grooves 25, which are incorporated in the upper edge of the side walls 10 facing the lid 14. Below the horizontally running lid upper side facing the inside of the container,

Centering lugs 26 can be arranged on the surface which, when the lid m is placed on the container , engage behind the horizontally extending edge 27 of the side walls 10 which is bent towards the interior of the container and thus enable the lid 14 to be placed evenly and easily on the container.

Container for holding small objects with detachably inserted corner profiles or similar/ the adjacent side walls, which are at an angle to each other, can be detachably connected to each other A, characterized in that the strip-shaped corner profiles are designed in the form of two square C-profiles that merge into one another in one piece, in which T-shaped recesses enclose T-shaped profiles arranged on the front edges of the side walls. 2. Container for holding small objects according to claim 1, characterized in that in the corner profile (11) an outer middle (longer web) of one C-profile (11a) merges flush into an outer, shorter leg of the adjacent C-profile (11b). 3. Container for holding small objects according to one of claims 1 or 2, characterized in that the T-shaped recesses (1oa) of the two interconnected C-profiles are at right angles to each other and are formed in one piece (with each other). -2- 4.
