Arbeitsflächen, mit Hilfe sogenannter Objektträger or*er Slides bakteriologische Abstriche genommen. Die für die Abstriche verwendeten Slides werden dann, nach den jeweils inspizierten Örtlichkeiten sowie nach den Arten von Bakterien, auf welche die Untersuchung gerichtet ist, geordnet, an eine Sammelstelle überbracht, wo sie zunächst auf einer vorbestimmten Temperatur für die Entwicklung der Bakterienkulturen gehalten und danach genau untersucht werden.It is currently common practice to have public locations such as restaurant kitchens, canteens and the like examined at certain intervals by experts, e.g. trade inspectors.
