Electric heating rods, external dimensions preferably 64 x 46 mm or 60 x 40 mm(b). For heating in wood, veneer, plastic, textile, acrylic glass or polyester processing or the like, preferably made of an inner profile made of an aluminum alloy that accommodates the heating wire and a larger outer profile.

Up to now, heating wires have been embedded in the milled grooves of the base plate^ of the electric heating plates or the inner profiles® of the heating rods, which are preferably protected against short circuits with seven-fold glass fabric insulation and double impregnation. Heating wires are also sold, which are preferably NiCr 30/20® with a Teflon foil 0 (40% overlap) placed directly on the heating conductor. A special impregnating agent ^prevents the penetration of moisture or the splitting of the insulation.

Disadvantages of these special heating cables (Teflon silicone insulated) are that silicone (directly on the NiCr 30/20 heating conductor®) decomposes in the absence of air at temperatures above 130° C and the Teflon tape or Teflon extruded (directly on the NiCr 30/20 heating conductor (§)) causes manufacturing difficulties (later formation of lumps, which reduce the desired high voltage strength or later cause assembly difficulties when inserting into the desired shapes). It is also known that with thin wires, wrapping with Teflon flat tapes is problematic because unavoidable wrinkles occur. In principle, with these structures, if Teflon is applied directly to the NiCr 30/20 heating conductor, it is possible for the glass silk applied later to shift, which also leads to the formation of lumps.

The advantages of this application are that the inserted heating wires, preferably NiCr 30/20®, are provided with a glass silk insulationfio of a suitably thick thickness, taking into account the dielectric strength. After this glass silk insulation©, a suitably thick Teflon insulation or a Teflon flat tape with an overlap of approx. 40 % is placed. Additional glass silk subsequent layers© are manufactured up to the desired outer diameter. By wrapping the Teflon foil© onto an existing glass silk insulation, the diameter increases, which makes it easier to place the foil, and secondly, the profile of the first glass silk insulation® is pressed into the Teflon foil(Ö), which then becomes grippy and prevents it from moving. This prevents the formation of lumps. Since glass silk has a much higher heat resistance than Teflon foil (450° C to 26° C), the Teflon foil is protected from the high heat of the NiCr 30/20 heating conductor® by the lower glass silk insulation@. This prevents the Teflon foil® from possibly being damaged by _shock .
