Description
Process for increasing the effectiveness of rodent control agents The control of rodents, particularly rats and mice, both play a role in the hygiene as in the agriculture a big role, as these animals on the one hand Are disease carriers, on the other hand damage or destroy stored supplies. In the course of time numerous pesticides have become known, among them the chemical compounds, known simply as poisons, are the most important Role-play. Recently, thiourea compounds have proven particularly useful, such as B. phenylthiourea, naphthylthiourea, chlorophenyl-diazo-thiourea. Since these thioureas have the advantage that they are useful for rodents, especially rats, are much more poisonous than for other animals and humans, they allow one special foim of application. While the previous toxins are mostly bait mixed in, you can use the so-called poison carpet method to add the thioureas use. This poison carpet method consists in the fact that one expediently with Inert substances diluted thioureas on rat swaps or in Brings rat holes. If the animals get dirty with it, bring them they get so much poison into the gastrointestinal tract when they later clean their fur and their feet, that the lethal dose is easily exceeded. A prerequisite for this is, however, that the thiourea preparation is scattered in a dry place so it has sufficient adherence to the animals. Will the thiourea preparation when damp, it no longer adheres and the effect is absent.
It has now been found that food poisons can be used to control rodents, especially thiourea preparations, make it particularly effective can if you increase their adhesive power and make them water-repellent at the same time. It is then possible to use these preparations in places that are not are protected from moisture.
The increase in the adhesive strength and the mass repellency are achieved z. B. by the fact that the surface of the poison particles with a resin coating or provided with a coating of fatty acid alkaline earth or other metals.
Beispiele i. Examples i. A mixture of 20 parts of a-naphthyl-thiourea is moistened and 80 parts of slate flour with a 5% solution of coumarone in benzene. The solvent is then driven off. The remaining powder has a excellent adhesion and is at the same time water-repellent. Instead of the coumarone resin you can use any other natural or synthetic resin with similar Use properties.
An Stelle des Rindertalges kann ein anderes technisch zugängliches Fett Verwendung finden.2. 60 parts of finely ground soapstone are mixed with 150 parts of water slurried and after adding 3 parts of beef tallow and 1 part of calcium hydroxide Heated to the boil for 1/2 hour. After cooling, 3o parts of phenylthiourea are added added, sucks off and dries. The result is a water-repellent, well-adhering powder. Instead of beef tallow, another technically accessible fat can be used Find.
An Stelle der Ölsäure kann eine beliebige Fettsäure mit mehr als 8 C genommen werden.3. 68 parts of talc and 3o parts of a-naphthylthiourea are added Mill 2 parts of oleic acid and 0.5 parts of calcium hydroxide very closely. After that everyone is Particles of the powder obtained in this way are water-repellent. The powder also adheres very well on smooth surfaces. Any fatty acid with more can be used in place of oleic acid can be taken as 8 C.
4. o,5 Teile 3-(a-Acetonyl-benzyl-4-hydroxy-cumarin) werden mit 5 °/o fettsaurem Kalk und 94,5 °/o Gesteinsmehl innig vermahlen. Das so gewonnene Pulver haftet gut an glatten Flächen und stößt das Wasser ab.4. 0.5 parts of 3- (a-acetonyl-benzyl-4-hydroxy-coumarin) are mixed with 5 ° / o fatty acid lime and 94,5 ° / o rock flour thoroughly ground. That won Powder adheres well to smooth surfaces and repels water.
Other coumarin derivatives can also be used for the production of such agents be used.
