Description

The invention relates to a rectangular transport packaging made of fabric material for flat objects _{, in} particular for photopolymer plates.

The invention is based on the object of proposing such a packaging which provides good edge protection for the goods with a high stack compression value and a high torsional rigidity, whereby the interior of the packaging should be kept as dust-free as possible.

To achieve this object, the transport packaging according to the invention is characterized by a lower part, a lid and an insert, on the edges of which hollow padding is formed.

The insert is sized so that it can be inserted into the base. It is preferably glued to the base, again preferably by gluing it to the bottom and the long sides. The hollow pads provide good edge protection. The folding material is folded outwards to form the hollow pads and glued to the corners using self-adhesive tape. This also ensures that the interior of the packaging is free of dust, as there are as few open cut edges as possible inside, so that no punched lint can get into the packaging.

A high torsional rigidity is also achieved with the insert and the hollow pads provided according to the invention not only provide good edge protection for the goods, but also the desired high stack compression pressure value, since the insert bears the full load. The high torsional rigidity is also achieved by the double bottom material of the lower part and the insert.

If cutouts are provided on the narrow sides of the insert on the ^inner walls of the hollow cushions, the flat or plate-shaped goods in the packaging are easily accessible via the cutouts and can be easily removed from the packaging*

Preferably, the lower part also has folding walls and these are designed in such a way that two stiffening tabs are provided at each corner of the folding walls, which are folded into the adjacent walls from the long walls or from the end walls. This type of folding ensures that there is double material in the corners.

It is also preferred if the walls of the lower part have mitred extensions pointing inwards. The extensions then fit together and form a locking mechanism for the folding walls without any additional measures. The extensions are not longer than the depth of the hollow cushions in order to guarantee a flat floor surface.
