Description

The invention relates to a tree planting and transport basket for transporting a tree with a root ball.

Plastic or fiber bags containing the root ball of the tree in which it was cultivated are traditionally used to transport young plants, shrubs and trees.

These containers do not provide sufficient stability when transporting the trees to the planting site, so that the trees may fall over during transport and possibly be damaged.

This transport problem arises particularly when replanting streets, avenues or pedestrian zones, where a large number of such young trees have to be transported.

There is no known device that enables the trees to be transported safely and is reusable.

The invention is therefore based on the object of providing a tree planting and transport basket that enables trees to be transported to the planting site without damage

to transport and remove it without damaging the root ball.

This object is achieved according to the invention in that the tree planting and transport basket mentioned at the beginning for transporting a tree with a root ball is characterized in that the transport basket consists of two basket halves, each of which is made up of an upper semicircular ring, a lower semicircular ring arranged in the base area and a semicircular ring arranged in the center of the base, vertical struts and base struts connecting the lower semicircular ring and the semicircular ring arranged in the center of the base, whereby both basket halves are lined with a wire mesh and plug sleeves and holes provided for assembly are arranged in the vertical struts on the front sides of the semicircular rings.

A particularly preferred embodiment is characterized in that transport eyes are arranged on the upper semicircular rings.

Another particularly preferred embodiment is characterized in that the transport basket consists of galvanized pipe material, preferably circular pipe material.

The invention will now be explained in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawings, which show a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention.

It preferably consists of two basket halves 1, 1·, which are joined together by means of plug-in necks 8 and screws 9.

A round basket shape that is slightly conical towards the base is particularly preferred.

Each basket half 1, 1' is preferably made of circular tubular material.

Each basket half 1, 1' consists of an upper semicircular ring 2, 2·, a lower semicircular ring 3, 3' and a semicircular ring *», 4 ¹ arranged in the center of the base, the two lower semicircular rings 3 and λ or 3 ^f and U ¹ being connected to base struts 7 or 7*.

The lower semicircular ring 3 and the upper semicircular ring 2 (or 3' and 2') are spaced apart from each other by vertical struts 5 and 6 (or 5* and 6').

Both basket halves 1, 1' are lined with a wire mesh 10.

To transport the basket, two transport eyes 11 are preferably arranged on each of the upper semicircular rings 2, 2'.

In these two illustrations it is clear how the two basket halves 1, 1* are put together.

As previously described, both basket halves are composed of preferably circular tubular material, preferably welded.

In the semicircular rings 2, 2' and the semicircular rings 3, 3* » 4, 4' (not shown here) steel sleeves 8 are inserted, which protrude into the opposite pipe interior and thus form a plug connection.

For further assembly, holes 12 are arranged in the vertical struts 6, 6*, which enable an additional screw connection.

The spaces between the vertical struts 5 and 6 (5*. 6') as well as between the floor struts 7 (7') are lined with a wire mesh 10.

An eyelet 11 arranged on the upper semicircular ring 2, 2' is used for transport.

Figure 5 shows a section of one half of the basket in perspective.

The upper basket half is shown with the inserted plug sleeve 8, which is pressed into the upper semicircular ring 2·.

When the two basket halves are joined together, the plug sleeve 8 engages into the opposite pipe interior and thus forms a reliable plug connection, which is supported by a screw connection.

For this purpose, a through hole 12 is made in the vertical struts 6, 6*, into which a screw 9 known per se is inserted and held by means of a washer 9' and nut 9".

The tree planting and transport basket according to the invention provides an optimal solution for transporting young plants and young trees to the planting site, whereby damage to the trees to be transported is avoided, since the tree planting and transport baskets according to the invention have good stability.

Thanks to the simple assembly and disassembly, the tree planting and transport baskets according to the invention are reusable«
