Description Wall mount for a compact telephone

The innovation concerns a wall mount for a compact telephone, which consists of a shelf and a handset with integrated speech and dialling circuitry.

For compact telephones, it is known that the shelf is fitted with a special wall mount that snaps into place on the shelf's base (teaching papers, year 36, 1983, p. 483 - 484). The connecting cable is permanently installed and the compact telephone can only be used as a wall-mounted telephone, as only a short connecting cable is provided between the shelf and the wall connection. Furthermore, with this known fastening, the rubber feet of the shelf are removed beforehand, so that there is no longer any anti-slip protection on smooth surfaces if a longer connecting cable is used.

The aim of the innovation is to create a wall mount for compact telephones of the type described, which allows the device to be used either as a table or as a wall device.

The innovation is explained below using a perspective illustration.

The wall bracket is made from a single piece of sheet metal or is made from plastic. It has two elongated holes (10) at each end for fastening, which are arranged 90° apart along its longitudinal axis.

The wall bracket is a U-shaped bracket, the long leg of which is bent several times for reasons of stability and to accommodate the protruding parts of the compact remote control. This creates several, e.g. three, support surfaces (11/ 12/ 13).

One of the support surfaces (12) is provided with additional clamping legs (14/15). These clamping legs (14/15) serve to hold the compact telephone holder laterally. They are designed to be springy (e.g. by means of cranked deformation) and are covered with elastic protective tubes. One of the support surfaces (11/12/13) carries a magnet (16). A piece of sheet metal attached to the underside of the compact telephone holder serves as an additional hold when in contact with the magnet (16).

The short legs (20/21) of the U-shaped wall bracket are also designed to be spring-loaded and covered with protective tubes. They each have a notch for passing through the handset and connection cord. By simply inserting it into the wall bracket, the table telephone becomes a wall telephone/, with an existing holder on the shelf serving as a locking lug for the handset.

Wall mount for a compact telephone, which consists of a shelf and a handset with integrated speech and dialing circuit, characterized in that the mount is designed as a U-shaped bracket, the long leg of which is angled several times, whereby support surfaces (11, 12, 13) are formed, the shorter legs (20, 21) of which are provided with cuts for passing through the handset and the connection cord, and that one of the support surfaces is equipped with additional clamping legs (14, 15). 2. Wall bracket according to claim 1, characterized in that the bracket is shaped as a sheet metal bracket. 3. Wall bracket according to claim 1, characterized in that the bracket is made of plastic. 4. Wall bracket according to claim 1 to 3, characterized in that the clamping legs (14, 15) and the shorter legs (20, 21) of the bracket are covered with protective tubes. 5. Wall mount according to claim 1, characterized in that one of the support surfaces (11, 12, 13) carries a magnet (16).
