Bei weniger sorgfältiger Handhabung ergibt sich ein erhebliches Sicherheiterisiko beispielsweise dadurch, daß sich ein nicht genügend fest verspannte Auftrittplatte bei Belastung verschwenkt. Die Platte verkörpert trotz der Durchbrechungen ein erhebliches Hindernis für Regenwasser, das in großen Strömen abfließt.
