13 ei 'the adjustment of electron tubes, these are according to. the mechanical completion during or after the pumping process gettered. During gettering, a metal, for example barium or magnesium, is evaporated and deposited on the vessel wall, in the process being. the gas residues still present in the vacuum vessel are chemically bound. For gettering, a getter arrangement is used which is attached either above the system or on the tube foot; the direction of the getter vapor is chosen so that the electrode system and the power supply lines are not affected by the getter vapor, if possible, in order to avoid insulation faults. This requirement can only partially be met with the known arrangements. For the same reason, special getter vessels have also been used which are connected to the actual vacuum vessel by a thin line, for example a glass tube. However, such an arrangement is unsustainable for many purposes because it takes up a lot of space. In general, the getter level is deposited on the upper end of the vessel flask above the electrode system. The pump tube or, after the tube has been pulled off the pump, the melting tip is also often arranged here. If the pump is withdrawn after gettering, the heating of the pump tube directly on the piston also heats a small part of the getter mirror, releasing the gas bound at this point, which worsens the vacuum.
nieder. To avoid these disadvantages, it is proposed according to the invention that
to use a getter arrangement consisting of an immediately above the electrode system
arranged and protruding beyond this disc made of insulating material, for example_
Mica, over which a das
Getter material is fastened in a metal disc carrying indentation, so that
the opening of the indentation is directed towards the mica disk. The disk off
Insulating material can also be made of glass, ceramic or another insensitive to heat
insulating material, if the distance between the two washers is small, it must
the metal disc must be relatively large, in general it is sufficient if the
Diameter of the metal disk - for example, approximately half the diameter of the
Insulating washer. If the distance between the two disks is large, the diameter
of the metal disc must be small. During gettering, it forms on the vessel wall
ring-shaped getter mirror, part of the getter - also hits the mica disk
low.
The new getter arrangement has the advantage that through the mica disk
a complete shielding of the electrode system and the bushings against
a vaporization is achieved during the gettering. Furthermore, through the two
Slices a limitation of the getter mirror achieved, this is with shortwave tubes
with regard to the influence of the getter mirror on the tube capacities
important. As a result of the limitation, getter material is deposited at the same time
avoided on or in the pump tube.
